Qual problema do público norte-americano?

Excelente! Esperanças renovadas.

Fui rever os melhores momentos pra escrever o comentário, revi o episódio todo. O conceito funcionou, as piadas foram engraçadas e as atuações foram absurdamente boas. Yes!!

Delta Cubes will never die! Or whatever. I can't explain it either, but despite dismal ratings and lots of backlash, NBC has gone and done the unexpected and renewed cult fave Community for a fifth season. The beloved comedy was barely hanging onto the bubble as the Upfronts approached, but its chances continued to improve throughout this week as NBC slowly axed nearly all of Community's fellow comedies.

The decision comes the day after Community's season four finale jumped up in ratings, all the way to a 1.3 rating. Yeah, that's not good by any means, but it's a positive sign that NBC was looking for from one of its veteran comedies. Community joins Parks and Recreation as the lone returning comedies for NBC next season.

Look, I know a lot of you are going to be super excited about this renewal, and I'm happy for you. But I'm having trouble with this, given how I've felt about the lackluster Season 4. Do I like it more than Guys With Kids? Hell yeah. But which show are we going to get in Season 5? CommunitySeasons 1-3 or Community Season 4? I'm so confused I'm going to jump into a hole and stay there for five years.

"Yes yes yes! I'm back I'm back I'm back!" And with those words, it may be Dan Harmon to the rescue for one of network's best internet-age comedies. Nothing's been made official, but it appears that Harmon is returning to Community after a year off. Here's what he tweeted early Saturday morning:

Britta got in on the action, too, welcoming back her boss:

Harmon's tweet came after a sequence of other Community-related tweets from Harmon discussing "deal breakers" for his return to the NBC show, so it's reasonable to assume that he was staying on topic and the "I'm back" referred to Community. Yes, this is merry little prankster Harmon, but given the attention swirling his return, I'm inclined to think this is the real deal. I should also note that Chris McKenna, the executive producer who wrote "Remedial Chaos Theory" and "Paradigms of Human Memory" but left after Season 3, is also rumored to be returning. However, we still have the pesky "this is unofficial" obstacle to surmount before we can really break out the fruit punch.

I know I wrote that he shouldn't come back that he as a "gently go f*ck thyself" toCommunity's production studio Sony TV who, in my opinion, made a terrible and unjust decisionto fire him in the first place. But now I'm glad he didn't take my advice, because I can't deny my excitement to have the salty sea captain steering the S.S. Community right through the icebergs of conformity once again. Either Harmon doesn't hold grudges like I do, he's eager to prove himself as the man, or the show's cast—Harmon specifically singled out Joel McHale as someone fans should thank for his return—convinced him to come back. Whatever the case, we're all winners.

Now the question is, "Can Dan Harmon return Community to the high quality of its first three seasons?" The answer, as Britta would say, is "Duh-doi!"
