Nacka
On September 20, it will release The Exorcist, Forbidden Planet, Lost in Space, Mars Attacks! and Rush Hour. A week later, the studio will release THX 1138 and Timecop. Some of these titles may also be released around the same time in the US, but not necessarily all. Note that Timecop is a Universal title in the US. Warner Announces Comedies on Blu-ray for August Posted April 22, 2010 04:42 AM by Juan Calonge Warner Home Video has announced three comedy movies for release on Blu-ray on August 10: Peter Bogdanovich's 1972 hit What's Up, Doc? and two 1980s Chevy Chase vehicles, National Lampoon's Vacation and National Lampoon's European Vacation. Note that the latter two will be released separately, rather than in the double-feature edition WHV has been favoring of late.

Members -felipe-
Ben-Hur and Citizen Kane DVDs Vaulted, Blu-ray in 2011 Posted April 28, 2010 03:51 AM by Juan Calonge Warner Home Video has announced a moratorium initiative in North America for two of its best-selling titles. As of May 10, the DVD of Citizen Kane will be pulled from shelves; in July 12, Ben-Hur will follow. Both films are undergoing comprehensive restorations in preparation for their return in 2011 – now on Blu-ray. Jeff Baker, Warner's Executive Vice President and General Manager, Theatrical Catalog stated, "As in the past, Warner Home Video is, once again, placing two of our 'event' titles on moratorium 12-18 months in advance of major re-releases." He added: "We know that it will be worth the wait, as significant content additions are being developed, and Ben-Hur, in particular, has been selected to receive the Ultimate Collectors Edition treatment, reminiscent of The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind and Woodstock, which celebrated anniversaries in 2009." Last year, WHV put three movies in moratorium: Caddyshack, Doctor Zhivago and The Exorcist (see blu-ray.com, August 7, 2009). The first two have already been announced on Blu-ray; the third is expected to be announced later in the year. Note that Ben-Hur had appeared in a provisional release schedule for 2010 (see blu-ray.com, January 27).
Members Administrator
Não vou recomprar KANE em BD. O DVD tem imagem soberba, e não é um filme que eu vá rever trilhões de vezes. Já BEN-HUR é outra história.

Members -felipe-
Classic King Kong Coming to Blu-ray in 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 04:28 AM by Juan Calonge During the TCM Classic Film Festival, held recently in Los Angeles, renowned film critic Leonard Maltin introduced a new digital restoration of the 1933 classic King Kong, which was shown at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Maltin later revealed in his blog that this restoration will "yield a Blu-ray home video release later this year." Maltin also commented that the film looked "magnificent" on the "huge" theater screen. "Best of all," he added, "it didn't have the look of a spruced-up video: it was as if we were watching a pristine 35mm print. And it was preceded by Max Steiner's original overture." Warner!
