Oscar 2019 - Previsões

Eu cheguei um pouco atrasado no cinema, então perdi o inicio do curta que acompanha "Os incríveis 2". Só fui ver agora. É lindo, heim? Muito ajudado pela trilha cativante. No final, lembrei-me de uma cena parecida em "Crazy Rich Asians".

Favorito na categoria de curta de animação, favorito do público, e - tendo assistido a todos os indicados- é o meu predileto também.

Galera, SAG daqui a pouco no TNT! 

Acho que "Black Panther" levará o grande prêmio da noite. Embora, a cada ano que passa, esse prêmio de elenco represente menos.

Parece que negaram um pedido de Regina Kink para apresentar algum prêmio de tevê.

Olivia Colman não irá. Caso vença, perderá uma chance de discursar na tevê.

Tem uma gravidade e uma solenidade por trás de todas as cenas que acabaram refletindo no ritmo do filme. Mas é excelentemente bem atuado por Lucas Hedges, tão improvavelmente bonito, e Nicole Kidman, tão acachapantemente bonita (estou reaprendendo a amá-la, e não me incomodaria sua presença no Oscar de Coadjuvante). Russel Crowe, por sua vez, tem menos momentos, menos material, ainda que o diálogo final entre pai e filho seja bastante comovente. 

Parente temático de "The Miseducation of Cameron Post", também de 2018, e do mais antigo "Prayers for Bobby". Um tema muito importante, claro. Compreendo que a maioria das pessoas sofra ao revelar sua sexualidade, para elas é como se se tirasse um curativo, mas, pessoalmente, quando eu comecei a viver plenamente a minha, eu não tive tanta crise. Aliás, me encheu de alegria e liberdade. Uma coisa "Call me By Your Name", ou "Alex Strangelove", algo na onda do desejo, pois - ainda bem - sempre tive mais tesão do que religião. Queria mais filmes solares. Senão todo mundo vai acabar achando que gays são objetos de comiseração. Nada!  "Dá-me mais vinho que a vida é nada" (Fernando Pessoa).

Putz, deem o Oscar logo de uma vez!!!

Sensacional Curta Live Action, indicado na categoria, do espanhol Rodrigo Sorogoyen. Já tá lotado de prêmios de festivais e merece mais um, o maior de todos. São apenas duas atrizes em cena vivenciando uma experiência bem desesperadora. É só isso. Duas atrizes excelentes em cena e nada mais. Um espetáculo de tensão, e de movimentação de câmera. 

Encontrei a seguinte informação: "En el 2019 Sorogoyen estrenará un largometraje que supone la secuela del cortometraje." 

Enquanto o longa não vem, desfrutemos desses19 minutos.

As definições de "clickbait" foram atualizadas...

Cotado para entrar no Oscar da categoria de Melhor Curta Documentário, principalmente pelo seu instigante título, depois por ter sido exibido em Sundance, mas...

Que decepção! Não tem história suficiente, não tem drama suficiente, e a montagem é apenas engraçadinha, meio modernosa...

Ficou de fora merecidamente.

Não sei se o martelo está batido. De qualquer forma, o que caçadores de audiência não entendem é que o público que não assiste à cerimônia continuará não a assistindo, e quem gosta ficará descontente. Gera indelicadeza e polêmica para nada.

Creio que acabei de ver o vencedor do Oscar de Melhor Documentário.

"RBG" é convencional: uma linha do tempo, da infância aos dias atuais, da figura retratada. Mas faz isso com enorme competência, carinho, e bom humor. Ou seja, é uma abordagem popular e agradabilíssima.

Fora isso, a juíza Ruth Bader Ginsburg é extremamente inspiradora, bem como seu marido, ambos me fizeram dar boas gargalhadas. E ela ao final dá uma lição sobre convivência, que, vou roubar a frase para mim, e usar sempre: "Por que eu deveria me sentir desconfortável? Nós temos muito em comum." 

Julie Cohen e Betsy West, as diretoras, conseguiram suas primeiras indicações na categoria.

A canção "I will Fight" de Diane Warren é lin-da! Não estava esperando, grandiosamente interpretada por Jennifer Hudson.  É uma música de encomenda, claro, óbvio. Mas muito bem feita. Justa indicação. Décima indicação para essa outra injustiçada do Oscar, sendo a quarta indicação em 5 anos!

Um trabalho bastante bonito do (também pintor) Julian Schnabel, evocativo, contido, sem arroubos de fúria, e o que eu mais gostei: sem a presença da loucura na sua faceta dramática. Fotografia maravilhosa do francês Benoît Delhomme.

Willem Dafoe - chover no molhado - ótimo. Prêmio em Veneza e no Satellite, indicação no Globo de Ouro, mas na hora das previsões, ninguém deu muita bola. E todo mundo o esqueceu.

Mas meu Van Gogh preferido ainda é Kirk Douglas em "Lust For Life'" (1956), com aquele diálogo desesperado: "Estou preso em uma jaula de vergonha, insegurança e fracasso. Acredite em mim. Estou preso. Estou sozinho. Estou assustado."
