Members rubysun
Half Nelson vai vir pro Brasil sim, eu acho. Mas só pra SP/RJ/BSB e em poucas salas. Nesses casos acho que eles nem traduzem.

Members Sync
Esse do The Queen é poderoso. Cheio de boas referências. O United parece que promove mais a idéia do que o próprio filme. Desse jeito, ficará de fora até de diretor. O do Carros estão simpáticos e do Bobby mostra o desespero deles. Members Tiago Ribeiro
All Quiet on the FYC Front Starting Monday' date=' the studios will be rolling out their new campaign strategies, or sticking with the old ones. How they decide to sell could make or break who takes home the big prize in a year where any of the five could, essentially, win. Who needs what -- a brief take. Jennifer Hudson - the prize is hers to lose. A delicate, meaningful look at her work in Dreamgirls would help rather than hurt. Coming on too strong could backfire. The Departed - not liking the floating heads/heavy on Jack stuff. Focusing on the film's strengths would be to show that it isn't just a flashy thriller; it's a meaningful, layered script as well. I would put the film's memorable dialogue front and center the way the Little Miss Sunshine folks have done. I would also focus on the best scenes in the film rather than the ones that dragged just because they have Nicholson in them. Little Miss Sunshine - will they continue to do the non-denial denial with their adverts by showing, like Crash did last year, that they barely have enough money to afford a campaign? A few ads here and there have worked for them thus far. Are they going to put out a splashy campaign to make the Little Best Picture look like a Big Best Pic? Not really sure but something tells me they'll keep it small. Babel - Liking their campaign thus far - they keep it focused on the white stars, Brad and Cate - but also show the film's scope with supplements like the glorious photography book, the soundtrack inspired by the film, etc. But keeping it international probably works in its favor, should they decide to go that way. The Queen - how do you make it about something other than Mirren's performance? You remind people that it was more than just Mirren's performance. Letters from Iwo Jima - one of two ways to go about it - keep it as one of a two-movie epic by continuing to show the Flags and Letters ads to be cut from the same cloth -- OR -- distinguish the movie as one that can stand on its own. It's a beautiful film - many of the best scenes are in the caves, which are never shown in the ads. Hm.... When Denzel Washington won for Training Day they showed on ad of him smiling. No other images were used as if to say: Washington deserves the Oscar, his character didn't. Will they continue to show only one or two shots of Forest Whitaker or will they broaden it? The Venus campaign for best actor is not good, in my non-professional opinion. There are better shots of him in that film that ought to be used rather than the two they have running. Supporting actor is anyone's game so that should be the most competitive race in the FYC ad department. How to sell Jackie Earle Haley is going to be tough; Djimon Hounsou is easy - he was so noble and likable, really a lead performance; Mark Wahlberg is all about the dialogue - remind people how good it was. Eddie Murphy - easy sell if they continue to remind people how much they liked the person and how far he's come. Finally, Alan Arkin should be considered the frontrunner -- he needs a campaign, though. So far, it's just been about the movie itself. Arkin needs ads to distinguish him from the ensemble; what makes him stand out? There you have it. An idiot's guide to Oscar strategy. We'll see what they've decided to do and how they plan to market their movies on Monday when, no doubt, the ads will start flooding in.
