Blu Ray - Lançamentos

Sim, é o mesmo filme, apesar das capas indicarem filmes completamente diferentes.

Eu tinha me interessado bastante no filme, mas agora também vou esperar pelo bd da Criterion.

Eu tenho o dvd da Criterion, é excelente. Pena que o bd provavelmente será região b mesmo...

 

A propósito, o filme foi adaptado pelo Ozu em "Tokyo Story" (que eu vi primeiro), e sinceramente, ambos estão pau a pau (se bobear, ainda acho o do McCarey melhor)

Reação de Commodus ao saber que terá de comprar o Blu-ray de Gladiador novamente!

Já anunciamos no início do mês que Gladiator tem uma nova edição em Blu-ray (na Holanda com legendas e áudio em português inclusive). Na realidade' date=' desde o início do ano

estamos avisando os leitores que esse filme teve uma transferência-lixo

para Blu-ray, e que as produtoras envolvidas estariam programando um

novo lançamento. E foi o que aconteceu com o lançamento da Edição Especial de 10 Anos.

Agora que os gringos já colocaram as mãos

na nova edição da Holanda (lançada dia 2), podemos conferir como

REALMENTE aquela do ano passado era ruim. Este título se transformou em

um exemplo cabal e didático do que é Edge Enhancement (aquela “aura” em torno dos objetos) e de Digital Noise Reduction (“plastificação” da imagem para remover o grão da película).

Agora, o que vale MESMO é uma visita no espetacular Compare Screenshots

e observar as diferenças colocando e tirando o cursor do mouse sobre a

imagem. Demora um pouco pra carregar tudo, mas a experiência é única e

recomendadíssima.

Full Grindhouse DVD/Blu-Ray Details/Art Revealed

Earlier this month a suspicious tweet filed by filmmaker Edgar Wright led us to speculate that a Blu-ray release of Grindhouse was in the works. As you probably know, when Grindhouse was released in theaters, it was a double feature featuring Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror, Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof,

and a few faux trailers at the beginning and in between. When the films

were released on DVD, they were distributed as separate movies, with

the trailers omitted from both releases (with the exception of Machete). Last month it was finally revealed

that the full Grindhouse release would hit stores on October 5th 2010.

Now we have the full details, including the DVD/Blu-Ray cover art.

Veivendi Home Entertainment has announced the following specs:

An exhilarating homage to the titillating B-movies of the 60s and

70s, Grindhouse, a double billing featuring Academy Award winner Quentin

Tarantino’ Death Proof and Robert Rodriguez’ Planet Terror burst onto

two-disc Blu-Ray

on October 5 from Vivendi Entertainment and The Weinstein Company.

Debuting for the first time in high definition and in its original

theatrical exhibition format, the presentation starts with the

deliciously over-the-top horror flick Planet Terror, followed by an

intermission featuring three gritty trailers and concluding with the

ultra-intense vehicular slasher film Death Proof. The set features over

two hours of brand new bonus material including a 10 Minute Cooking

School feature with Rodriguez, five features on the trailers including

an extended trailer and making-ofs, deleted scenes and much more.

“Planet Terror - Married doctors William and Dakota Block (Brolin and

Shelton) find their graveyard shift inundated with townspeople ravaged

by gangrenous sores and a suspiciously vacant look in their eyes. Among

the wounded is Cherry (Rose McGowan), a go-go dancer whose leg was

ripped from her body during a roadside attack. Wray (Freddy Rodriguez),

her former significant other, is at her side and watching her back.

Cherry may be down, but she hasn’t danced her last number. As the

invalids quickly become enraged aggressors, Cherry and Wray lead a team

of accidental warriors into the night, hurtling towards a destiny that

will leave millions infected, countless dead, and a lucky few struggling

to find the last safe corner of PLANET TERROR.
