Beckin
Mais bons reviews de Shame, dessa vez do McCarthy; Driven by a brilliant, ferocious performance by Michael Fassbender, Shame is a real walk on the wild side, a scorching look at a case of sexual addiction that’s as all-encompassing as a craving for drugs. Steve McQueen’s second feature, after his exceptional debut with Hunger in 2008, may ultimately prove too psychologically pat in confronting its subject’s problem, but its dramatic and stylistic prowess provides a cinematic jolt that is bracing to experience. Be that as it may, Fassbender is incredible, capping a year which has also done exceptional work in X-Men: First Class and, especially, A Dangerous Method, which is hitting the festival circuit simultaneously with “Shame.” It’s amazing that it has taken him this long to be fully recognized, as he’s got it all: Looks, authority, physicality, command of the screen, great vocal articulation, a certain chameleon quality and the ability to suggest a great deal within while maintaining outward composure, just for starters. Whether he becomes a real movie star is another matter but, when it comes to pure acting skill and potential, it’s possible that Daniel Day-Lewis now has a young challenger (isso que é elogio...) http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/shame-film-review-231114 --- ‘Hunger’, McQueen has immersed himself in a wholly different world and made a film that is similarly distinctive and exploratory and grasps you from beginning to end. He has also succeeded in making a film about an extreme character that doesn’t feel so divorced from everyday sexual desire and behaviour. You imagine McQueen feels there’s a lot of many – or all – of us in Brandon, even if his troubles feel quite uniquely tragic in the moment. http://www.timeout.com/film/reviews/90759/shame.html ---

Members bs11ns
Jack Nicholson dá um show o filme todo!!! Members guidon
Up in the Air qto pro Precious.

E olha o elenco desse filme. Acho dificil, quase impossivel, ser superado. An inventive' date=' meaty distillation of Le Carre's 1974 novel, pic turns hero George Smiley's hunt for a mole within Blighty's MI6 into an incisive examination of Cold War ethics, rich in both contempo resonance and elegiac melancholy. Finely hammered to appeal to discerning auds and kudo-awarding bodies, "Tinker" should do sterling biz. (...) Casting is one of the pic's strongest suits, with an ensemble that reps some of the finest talent working in Blighty. Everyone brings their A game, with Oldman setting the bar high as an eerily still, slightly sinister Smiley. Particularly worthy of mention are Cumberbatch, who in one charged scene gets across the cruel debt of silence secret servicemen will always owe, and Firth and Hurt, both in particularly choleric, amusing form. Kathy Burke (who starred in Oldman's "Nil by Mouth") has a vivid, salty cameo here as Connie Sachs.[/quote'] Huge on period atmosphere and as murkily plotted as its source material' date=' this big-scale European adaptation of John le Carré’s 1974 Cold War novel Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy shows a faithfulness that should fully meet the expectations of the writer’s fans. At the same time, with Swedish director Tomas Alfredson at the helm of his first English language film, one might be pardoned for hoping for a bit of the spookiness of his Let the Right One In or the political passion of le Carré’s The Constant Gardener. Instead this good, old-fashioned square-off between spymasters Karla and George Smiley demonstrates a lot more loyalty than most of its characters. It is one of the few films so visually absorbing, felicitous shot after shot, that its emotional coldness is noticed only at the end, when all the plot twists are unraveled in a solid piece of thinking-man’s entertainment for upmarket thriller audiences.[/quote'] A complex web of betrayal and retribution is spun with elegant assurance in Tomas Alfredson’s melancholy adaptation of the classic John le Carré Cold War thriller. The densely plotted saga of cloak and dagger intrigue is expertly crafted and remains utterly absorbing without recourse to the pulse quickening action ethos considered essential in the Bourne era. Members Cremildo
Sasha Stone, sobre A Dangerous Method: The real acting standout is Knightley, though. It’s hard to say whether she goes too far over the top with her hysteria — she looks like she has to vomit half the time and her face contorts in ways you probably never thought you’d see in a million years. She nails the Russian accent and I found her performance growing in my mind as the day wore on. I still think it could have been wratcheted down a notch but I admire her for really going for it in full. I honestly never thought she had it in her to go that dark. The thing is, the character then becomes a rather prominent person in history — so it’s a little jarring to meld the two impressions together. Nonetheless, Cronenberg likes his audience uncomfortable. I look forward to seeing it again so I can really absorb what Freud and Jung are saying. Knightley, for all of her contortions and spasms, never really conveys true sexuality in this, which makes it all the more bizarre. With her rigidly thin frame, the voluptuousness of out there eroticism is gone but it fits with Jung and Freud somehow. It’s as though the last thing you’d ever be thinking about when you look at her is sex. It isn’t that she isn’t sexy – hell, in Pride and Prejudice, Atonement and Love, Actually she’s sexy as hell. It’s that here, pinned underneath the era, the corsets, the manners it has subverted and become something else. When her character is at her most alluring, ironically enough, is not when she’s being spanked or kissing Fassbender, but rather when she discusses ideas and uses her fiery brain – herein lies the character’s true sexiness. I kind of loved Knightley in this ultimately, even though she might be off-putting to some. That is precisely what makes it a Cronenberg-strange movie. Her facial expressions represent the grotesque. The cinematography, score, art direction and costumes are enough to propel it into the Oscar race, though I suspect attention might be paid to Knightley too. It is not a touchy/feeling film, however. And despite the passionate love story between Knightley and Fassbender, it is a very cerebral, intellectual experience. Cronenberg, and screenwriter Christopher Hampton, are after the world of ideas and thought here. Big concepts about our inner worlds drive the story, mainly. The sex scenes are brief and never go as fully as you’d like them to. They are as repressed as those engaging in them.
Members Cremildo
Segundo "os caras", a atuação de Knightley é tão divisiva que ela talvez nem chegue a ser indicada - a não ser que a promovam como coadjuvante, o que publicistas do filme juravam que não iria acontecer: Feinberg: Quote: Reaction to Knightley's performance has been deeply divided -- she opens the film in a hysterical state that some have found to be a bit over-the-top, and her Russian accent has been dogged on, too -- but I was impressed by the fact that the A-list beauty and perennially underappreciated actress was willing to be so vulnerable on camera (she also has several scenes in which she is partially nude), and I think that she could connect with enough people to score an Oscar nod... that is, if SPC and she are willing to swallow their pride and push her in supporting (which looks wide-open this year) instead of lead (which is absolutely packed). Tapley: Fassbender feels of so very little consequence here. It was like a cold bucket of ice water to the face after McQueen’s film. Keira Knightley often tumbles off the rails and rarely seems to have a hold on her character (which could have been a virtue given that she’s playing a mentally ill individual, but it only smacks of uncertainty and lack of guidance). The only joy I found in the entire enterprise was Mortensen’s delicious submersion into his role. “A Dangerous Method,” meanwhile, could garner some below-the-line attention (it’s handsomely mounted on that front), while I could see Knightley joining the conversation for Best Supporting Actress. But little else seems realistic. Hampton’s talky script might get some love from writers with a passion for delicious conversation, but again, I’m feeling down on it really ringing many bells. We’ll see have to see how it does at Toronto. Cremildo2011-09-05 15:17:

Ninguem sabia explicar... .
