A reação geral é mista: enquanto alguns dizem que o roteiro é muito fraco e o filme parece feito para TV, outros afirmam que é charmoso e divertido, e chegam a compará-lo com The King's Speech. A performance de Michelle agradou à grande maioria: o consenso parece ser o de que ela não faz uma incorporação profunda de Marilyn Monroe, mas consegue captar sua essência, construindo um personagem próprio a partir do ícone. Branagh também é elogiado na maior parte das críticas, ainda que uma delas surpreendentemente tenha dito que ele foi uma escalação errada. Eddie Redmayne é outro que recebeu comentários favoráveis. Não me parece a audiencia mais apropriada. Não mesmo. Do mais, o filme passa longe de ter decepcionado. Reação mista com boas menções a Williams - e dos veículos mais relevantes, o que importa. Branagh, no entanto, precisava arrebatar pra ir longe. Não vi isso. Elizabeth Olsen nem de longe tem a força do buzz que Ellen Page, Carey Mulligan, e principalmente Jennifer Lawrence tiveram nos anos passados. Members Cremildo Posted October 9, 2011 Members Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 A categoria de Melhor Atriz está interessante, sem dúvida, mas o meu foco de interesse está sendo, ao menos no momento, a de Ator Coadjuvante. Além do muitíssimo provável Christopher Plummer ( ), desde a semana passada vem se falando bastante em Max Von Sydow ( ) e, agora, nesta semana, descobriremos se outro veterano (embora já oscarizado) poderá reforçar a seleção: Ben Kingsley, em Hugo. Há também Niels Arestrup em Cavalo de Guerra, mas desconheço a substância do papel dele. Os filmes de Spielberg não tendem a gerar muitas indicações para seus atores. Members D4rk-Schn31d3r Posted October 9, 2011 Members Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 tb assisti a alguns filmes do festival do rio, e dos mais badalados a conseguir alguma coisa no oscar ... the help: muitos vão torcer o nariz com algumas cenas e dá p/ dizer q esse aqui seria o crash / precious do ano (tem até frango frito no filme, muitos aliás! ), mas ao contrário dos outros filmes, nesse consegui relevar alguns exageros dessa dramédia onde os destaques sem sombra de dúvida são viola davis e a octavia spencer! (certamente as 2 serão indicadas e diria q a spencer é praticamente imbatível! só não digo o mesmo da viola pq tem a close com um tipo de personagem q os acadêmicos adoram votar). quanto a filme, acho q será indicado sim tendo em vista a grande receptividade feminina na sessão. roteiro adaptado com boas chances de entrar e direção fora eu diria dangerous method, a: gostei do roteiro, bem escrito, assim como a atuação do quarteto principal, mas quem se destaca mesmo é o fassbender com sua atuação contida e compenetrada. só q qt a oscar acho q só será indicada a knightley mesmo com um tom às vezes um tanto over como os críticos tanto adoram. no geral é um bom filme só q não decola em momento algum (apesar de algumas tentativas), infelizmente martha marcy may marlene: esse pra mim é o grande destaque até agora. definitivamente entrei no clima desde sua sequência inicial com uma olsen tremulando falando ao telefone. gostei da trilha e dos vários closes mostrando as várias feições dos personagens em diferentes momentos, assim como da estória (baseado na seita dos maison?). enfim, grandes atuações tanto da olsen qt a do hawkes (talvez uma não seria tão poderosa sem a outra, portanto aqui vejo uma venda casada, isto é, se indicarem uma deveriam obrigatoriamente indicar o outra). qt a oscar temo q ambos possam acabar não tendo melhor sorte por justamente eles não se familiarizarem muito com o tema do filme, o q acabará a meu ver sendo uma grande injustiça Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pelo jeito, Tilda Swinton está perdendo força. Uma pena, adoro essa atriz e torço para que seja indicada. Até porque vejo essa categoria com muitos nomes fortes. Streep, Close e Davis eu vejo como certas, ou praticamente confirmadas. Dos outros nomes, Williams acho que tem mais força, e a última vaga será bem disputada. Your Likely Best Actress Oscar Winner There are some great performances to come' date=' no doubt. But in spite of a fairly mediocre movie around her, Michelle Williams gives a performance that is, simply, beyond. Like Charlize Theron’s turn in Monster, this is not something you will see again from Williams. But also like Theron, Williams embodies her character completely, never showing herself to be an imitator, even as we can hear and see so many similarities. She becomes a woman who might well have been Marilyn Monroe. She floats and seduces and loses all the life in her eyes and body and in way that is oh so rare, becomes an enigma that you can’t stop watching. The movie, My Week With Marilyn, is based on a memoir and it is the story they chose. I can hardly demand that they changed it to better effect. It’s a rather ripe moment in Monroe’s life, so that’s great. (Another real standout in the film is an unrecognizable Dougray Scott – aka The Man Who Would Be Wolverine – as Arthur Miller.) Williams great performances have, mostly, been about her skill is exposing herself emotionally… amongst the most raw, painful, real women you will see on film. But here, she finds that intense, sad, intimate truth, but also puts on a show as a showstopping sex bomb… and really brings to life how Marilyn’s power was about the energy she offered and not just boobs and butt and lips. When she asks, “Should I be ‘her’?” at one point in the film and transforms herself instantly into the embodiment of her image, it’s not a movie moment… pretty woman turning the tables… it’s a glimpse into a person who knows so much, but who cannot bring that rational insight into the rest of her life. It’s not the great O’Toole moment in My Favorite Year, when he can finally take a bow, overcoming his fear and reveling in his status, but sometime deeper… more poignant because there isn’t the relief… it’s no nightmare on the surface, but it’s a deadly trap. The performance could be compared to Marion Cotillard’s Oscar-winning transformation in La Vie en Rose or Theron’s turn… but I have to say… this performance owns its own space because the emotional shifts are tougher. The director has clearly studied all of Monroe’s photos and there are a ton of very specific references, which sometimes makes it feel stunty. But then, once Williams has some space to breathe as a character… well, I know this actress’ work and I have spent some time chatting with her and I didn’t see anything of the Michelle Williams I am familiar with in this entire film, with the exception of 2 consecutive shots in one scene. I can’t say that of her other terrific performances, however varied. I give a lot of credit to cinematographer Ben Smithard and director Simon Curtis (both TV guys stepping up in class) for how they shot her face… but the light behind those eyes all comes from the actor. She’ll likely be up against Oscar winners Streep and Theron, and perhaps former nominees Davis & Close. All great performances (I am assuming on Close, whose film I haven’t seen, but for which she has been endlessly praised)… but I can’t imagine that any of them is the kind of magic trick pulled off by Williams… who also is in the classic winning position of having been previously nominated more than once, including last year. (See: Colin Firth) I wish the movie was as good as the performance, but then again, the eco-sytem that led to the performance deserves a lot of credit as well. O filme parece ser um drama bem humorado (o que já me atrai), além de ter um trio soberbo de intérpretes. Mesmo que o filme não chegue nas premiações internacionais, deve ser aclamado na Austrália. Retrospectiva pouco me interessa, nesse caso, pq já vi os filmes que queria do Elia, por exemplo. Filme novo e que me motive a ir é que tá difícil. Os Dardenne vai ser tão difícil conseguir ingresso que já prevejo filas monstruosas... Festival do Rio dando um banho... Uma pena pensar que a doença do Leon fudeu a Mostra da São Paulo. [/quote'] Hmm, ok, temos opiniões BEM diferentes... -x- Sobre o Festival do Rio, realmente ele cresceu e está se tornando cada vem mais interessante, mas aproveitar o festival apenas pelas suas pré-estreias é um desperdício colossal. É útil pro pessoal de cidades fora do eixo Rio - SP - Brasília. A mesma coisa vale pra Mostra SP. O filme dos Dardenne já está comprado desde o fim de Cannes, com estréia no circuito prevista pra novembro...
