Tem várias premiações da crítica que vão saindo (de várias cidades de lá). São cerca de 20. Ela começam a pipocar acho q semana q vem.

Jeff Wells se empolgou e comentou extensamente a atuacao de Rooney Mara em The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, no que colegas e a propria Sony ficaram enfurecidas.
Wells imediatamente retirou o post do ar, não sem antes ser notado.

 

"I don't think I'm breaking the embargo to say that Rooney Mara is fierce and touching and diamond-hard in David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Yes, her Lisbeth Salander character is familiar due to Noomi Rapace having played her three times in the three original Girl flicks but Mara gives a richer, fuller performance, I feel. Her manner is curt and chilly but her eyes are swimming with feeling. She's a heartbreaker, and she's tough and resourceful -- the rock upon which the film rests".

Harvey Weinstein, o magnata do lobby, está agora usando do expediente da humildade para promover The Artist.

 

 

 

 

Em recente entrevista, Weinstein declarou que "o Oscar é quase um símbolo de excelência, e o público americano e mundial aceitam esse símbolo. As vezes na Indústria nós temos que realizar filmes ambiciosos, mas The Artist é um filme dirigido por um francês, mesmo que filmado em Los Angeles, que custou 14 milhões de dólares e vai competir com produções orçadas em 140 milhões. É Davi contra Golias".

 

 

 

Omitir que o filme vai ter campanha tão cara e feroz quanto os "Golias" não é cara de pau, hein? Não mesmo.

Crítico que diz que O Resgate do Soldado Ryan é um dos melhores filmes de Spielberg devia ser, no mínimo, demitido. É inconcebível alguém que estuda para o ofício da crítica cinematográfica louvar uma merda dessa. Pra mim tal opinião já invalida completamente a resenha.

Ruins devem ser O Império do Sol, Tubarão, Prenda-me se for Capaz, A Cor Púrpura...

War Horse esnobado nas principais em Washigton não é exatamente bom sinal, assim como Tatoo.

Indigno para o próprio Hooper, que já fez maravilhas na tv. The King's Speench, aliás, é o seu pior filme.

 

Depos do que houve esse ano não me vejo mais levando essa premiação tão a sério. Curto muito a corrida e tal, mas sei que o resultado dificilmente contempla o melhor [ou algo aproximado]. Enfim, pra mim ainda funciona pelo mero fator tradicional.

As grandes forças deste início de temporada são mesmo Hugo e Tilda Swinton. O filme de Scorsese provavelmente conseguirá uma indicação a Melhor Filme, além de várias categorias técnicas, e Swinton solidificou suas chances, disputando com Charlize Theron e Rooney Mara a vaga remanescente.

 

Interessantes as menções a Michael Shannon, John Hawkes, Andy Serkis e Melissa McCarthy. Eu já imaginava que Elizabeth Olsen pudesse ser "reavivada" pelas associações de críticos; acho que num ano mais fraco ela facilmente preencheria a vaga Lawrence-Sidibe-Page-etc.

Gostaram do Discusinho do Rei lá? Blz, vota em melhor filme. Agora melhor direção?? Era a pior direção das indicadas! De longe.

 

 

 

Sem falar que A Rede Social é tão melhor, mais tão melhor que o Discurso do Rei que se vc pegar o Discurso e multiplicar por 10, chega na qualidade do A Rede Social. E olha que O discurso do rei é um bom filme.

Impressionante como esses críticos lá de fora não sabem dar apoio. Close e Oldman estão num momento ímpar de suas carreiras, mas não recebem quase nada de consideração.

 

Enquanto a Streep (que já ganhou tudo que poderia) e o Clooney (que nunca passa da mesma coisa) estão lá sempre nas premiações.

 

Não vejo a hora de não ligar mais para essas premiações e parar de me irritar.

Mas é isso que prêmio de crítica significa.  O Oscar vota pelo coração, pela política, consertando erros do passado.  E nesses quisitos, Close é imbatível.  Ainda tô firme e forte com ela.  Todo esse oba-oba em cima da Streep é exatamente igual a 2009, quando ela ganhou TUDO até chegar o SAG e deu no que deu.

Com relação a prêmios de críticos, foi curioso o que houve em 2002 com a Juliane Moore por "Longe do Paraíso". Ela faturou praticamente tudo da crítica, mas perdeu justamente GG, Sags e Oscar. A Nicole Kidman mesmo ganhou muito pouco naquela temporada.
