No Brasil só vai ter a versão do cinema, que pelo visto nem o próprio Lee prefere. Não tenho muitas informações sobre os BDs da Criterion, pois só tenho 2 dela. Vou pegar Red Desert em BD, e talvez Close-Up e o do Jan Troell. O LEOPARDO já tenho em DVD, e não vou fazer o upgrade. As únicas diferenças entre as duas edições são que na edição nacional, temos a luva envernizada, o áudio em português da Herbert Richers (A mesma que passava no Corujão da Globo), uma curiosa trilha de áudio em 2.0 e na edição americana temos uma trilha de comentários e a opção de assistir todas as seções do documentário “Os Cineastas falam sobre George Stevens” em sequência. A edição nacional tem todos os extras legendados em português. O filme possui o áudio original em inglês remixado em 5.1 Dolby Digital, 2.0 Dolby digital e a trilha dublada em português em 2.0 Dolby Digital. A qualidade da imagem está muito boa, com alguns pequenos artefatos de compressão e acompanhando essa edição o , o documentário de 20 minutos “George Stevens e Um Lugar ao Sol” que traz depoimentos de Elizabeth Taylor, Shelley Winters e o filho do diretor George Stevens Jr. e o documentário “Os Cineastas falam sobre George Stevens”, com depoimentos de Frank Capra, Joseph L. Special features have not been officially detailed at the time, but they are expected to include cast & crew commentaries (which were absent from the first edition) and other behind-the-scenes content. The site also mentions the possibility of including the original ending of the film, which was cut from the theatrical and first-edition Blu-ray releases.
