Members -felipe- Posted September 30, 2005 Author Members Report Share Posted September 30, 2005 There are online reports from various Superman-themed websites (including Superman Cinema) that Warner Bros. and producer Ilya Salkind have finally negotiated a deal for the release of director Richard Donner's original unused footage from Superman II. This would allow for the creation of a long-awaited Superman II: Director's Cut that would be closer to the film Donner was crafting before the film was taken away from him by the studio back in 1979 and given to replacement director Richard Lester. Donner, as many of you know, also directed the original Superman: The Movie (the two films were shot, for the most part, simultaneously). The idea behind all of this, of course, is that Warner wants to release new DVD special editions of Superman II, Superman III and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace in conjunction with the theatrical or DVD debut of Bryan Singer's currently in production Superman Returns. Espero essa edição há tempos, pq sinceramente, aquele Superman II nunca me convenceu, e sempre houve esse rumor de q Donner havia filmado o suficiente p garantir um filme. O foda é se resolverem vender só em box, e não separado como estão fazendo com o novo box do Batman. This new cut of the movie will be available to own from the 13th December, and priced at around $39.99. The set will include both the 124 minute theatrical release, along with the 147 minute extended cut. Both will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with English DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include a commentary with director Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, a second commentary with Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino and a third commentary containing Austin Premiere crowd reaction! Also included will be a 15 minute film school with the director, a Movie in High-Speed Green Screen feature, 17 uninterupted minutes of Tarantino's segment, footage of a Sin City cast/crew party, and a 10 minute cooking school with Robert Rodriquez. Completing the package will be four featurettes on the cars, special effects make-up, costumes and props, a featurette on how they convinced Miller to assist with the film, another featurette on casting, a featurette on Tarantino the guest director, trailers, bloopers, and an interactive game. Topping it all off will be a complete Sin City graphic novel (The Hard Goodbye), worth around $17. Bom, SE vier um box com este quatro filmes (o 1 já tenho e o DVD duplo é maravilhoso, nada a acrescentar, o 3 já tenho do box e não pego de novo nem com uma Magnum 44, canhão reforçado de cromo, na minha cabeça!!! O 4 tb não gosto!!! É MUITO PIADA AQUELA BRIGA NA LUA! VE-SE CLARAMENTE QUE AS PEDRAS SÃO DE ISOPOR!!!!!! ), então SÓ ME INTERESSA o 2 MESMO! Seja porque a versão simples do box é MUITO fraca, sem extras nenhum, seja porque a imagem FICA DEVENDO E MUITO (anos luz de distância do 1º superman que teve uma boa restauração e supimpa remasterização!!! Ou seja, a qualidade de imagem do 2 e 3 é marro-menos, pra não dizer que é um cocozinho...), seja porque PELO MENOS tb o 2 merecia extras condignos, com comentários em áudio (MUITA estória pra contar!!!! ), seja um 2º DVD! Agora, vc me vem com essa notícia, só quero saber DAONDE vão conseguir metragem (e edição e cenas gravadas) SUFICIENTE pra montar um filme razoavelmente coeso, sendo que Donner foi despedido ANTES de terminar as filmagens ? SEM falar a QUALIDADE que deve estar estes rolos, jogados em algum canto! OU PIOR, se não perderam parte do material largado!!!!! Então, se não tiver filmado suficiente (e somado com algum que possa estar perdido ou/e irremediavelmente deteriorado), COMO montarão o filme ? Misturarão parte do material do Donner com uma parte do 'oficial' de Lester (inclusive aí cenas não aproveitadas do material do Lester tb, pra dar um 'ar' de novidade) ?? Conseguirão ajuda do Donner para fazer a montagem (e os comentários em áudio e entrevista) ????? Sim, porque Donner não deve se sentir muito bem nessa história, não ? VAI que ele não está brigado com a Warner, pois fez aquele desabafo, ooops, digo, comentários em áudio do primeiro Superman em DVD... Mas como chegarão a um acordo$ ? VAMOS ver. DE QQ maneira o idel, sei lá, é incluírem mais 1 disco com o Superman 2 'oficial' com imagem MELHOR (restauração e remasterização) porque deste box não tá uma Brastemp não! Quanto à versão de Superman II, li no site de um fã q compareceu a uma tarde de autógrafos com Donner e o escritor Tom Mankiewickz (acho q é esse o nome) e eles confirmaram q existe material suficiente filmado por Donner pra um Superman II. Vcs sabem +/- qual é a porcentagem do filme feita por cada diretor? *Pq Donner foi tirado da direção do filme? This Mel Brooks directed comedy, will be available to own from the 13th December this year, and should set you back somewhere in the region of around $19.94. Extas will include a look at the new theatrical release, a Peter Sellers' Statement read by Paul Mazursky, a photo gallery, deleted scene (Playhouse Outtake), storyboard sketch gallery, a five part making of documentary (Act I, Act II, Closing, Intermission and Opening) and the films theatrical trailer. Columbia hasn't released the artwork for this one yet I'm afraid, but we'll bring you that very shortly. Stay tuned. O casamento grego: Warner has announced plans to release a new special edition of My Big Fat Greek Wedding which stars Nia Vardalos, John Corbett and Michael Constantine. This two-disc package will be available to own from the 31st January next year, and should set you back around $24.98 in total. The first disc will house an anamorphic widescreen transfer, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track, an audio commentary, and a Making of Rags to Riches featurette. The second disc is a CD bonus disc, containing a number of contemporary wedding songs. We'll bring you the official package artwork shortly. The Green Pastures (1936) stars Rex Ingram and Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, and includes the wonderful 1933 short Rufus Jones for President starring Sammy Davis, Jr., plus the 1935 Vitaphone short An All-Colored Vaudeville Show with the Nicholas Brothers and several others. King Vidor's Hallelujah (1929) stars Daniel L. Haynes and Nina Mae McKinney; includes the shorts Pie, Pie Blackbird and The Black Network, both starring Miss McKinney and the Nicholas Brothers and both released in 1936.
