Uma Aventura na África pela primeira vez em dvd oficial, e também em blu-ray:

 

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($19.99) and Blu-ray ($26.99) editions of The African Queen

for the 23rd March. Meticulously restored using state-of-the-art 4K

digital technology, each release will also include a new documentary

entitled “Embracing Chaos: Making The African Queen”, which includes

new interviews with contemporary film experts such as Martin Scorsese

and incorporates home movies, archival images and more. Also available

from the 23rd March will be DVD ($34.99) and Blu-ray ($43.99)

Limited-Edition Box Sets which include the standard release, along with

an audio disc with a recording of the Lux Radio Theater presents The

African Queen radio broadcast, a Senitype® film frame collectible

reproduction, collectible postcards featuring reproductions of images

related to the film, and a reproduction of Katharine Hepburn’s

out-of-print  memoir The Making of The African Queen or How I Went to

Africa  with Bogart, Bacall and Huston and Almost Lost My Mind.

-felipe-, esse do Ang Lee (que foi mal recebido no lançamento) a

Criterion está disponibilizando um corte inédito. No Brasil só vai ter

a versão do cinema, que pelo visto nem o próprio Lee prefere.

 

 

 

Não tenho muitas informações sobre os BDs da Criterion, pois só tenho 2

dela. Mas nesta página você pode ver fotos de vários deles: reviews

Exclusivo na Livraria Cultura, por 29,90:

A edição é bem parecida com a americana. As únicas diferenças entre as duas edições são que na edição nacional, temos a luva envernizada, o áudio em português da Herbert Richers (A mesma que passava no Corujão da Globo), uma curiosa trilha de áudio em 2.0 e na edição americana temos uma trilha de comentários e a opção de assistir todas as seções do documentário  “Os Cineastas falam sobre George Stevens” em sequência.

A edição nacional tem todos os extras legendados em português. O filme possui o áudio original em inglês remixado em 5.1 Dolby Digital, 2.0 Dolby digital e a trilha dublada em português em 2.0 Dolby Digital. A qualidade da imagem está muito boa, com alguns pequenos artefatos de compressão e acompanhando essa edição o  

, o documentário de 20 minutos “George Stevens e Um Lugar ao Sol” que traz depoimentos de Elizabeth Taylor, Shelley Winters e o filho do diretor George Stevens Jr. e o documentário “Os Cineastas falam sobre George Stevens”, com depoimentos de Frank Capra, Joseph L. Mankiewicz entre outros. Edição altamente recomendada num preço bem convidativo.

Quantum of Solace Definitive Edition Blu-ray Coming Up

mi6.co.uk is reporting that the UK branch of 20th Century Fox Home

Entertainment will release Quantum

of Solace: Definitive Edition on July 28. Special features have

not been officially detailed at the time, but they are expected to

include cast & crew commentaries (which were absent from the first

edition) and other behind-the-scenes content.

 

 

 

The site also mentions the possibility of including the original ending

of the film, which was cut from the theatrical and first-edition Blu-ray

releases.
