To Kill a Mockingbird Blu-ray

to Blu-ray. One of the most beloved American films ever made, director

Robert Mulligan's adaptation of Harper Lee's novel stars Gregory Peck (The Guns of Navarone)

as Atticus Finch, an Alabama lawyer who defends an African-American man

accused of raping a white woman. Finch's legal efforts profoundly

impact his two young children who are already struggling with the

challenges of early adolescence.

 

 

 

The winner of three Academy Awards - Best Actor: Gregory Peck; Best Art

Direction: Alexander Golitzen, Henry Bumstead, & Oliver Emert; and

Best Adapted Screenplay: Horton Foote - To Kill a Mockingbird also features James Anderson (Little Big Man), Frank Overton (Star Trek: The Original Series), Brock Peters (Soylent Green), William Windom (Planes, Trains & Automobiles), and, in his feature-film debut, Robert Duvall (Lonesome Dove).

 

 

 

Newly restored from high resolution 35MM original film elements,

Universal's Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack presents the film in its

original aspect ratio of 1.85:1 with both 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and

2.0 DTS audio tracks. In addition to Universal's U-Control, BD-Live,

pocket BLU, Keyboard, and uHear functionalities, the disc contains a

number of bonus materials, including:

 

 

  • Feature commentary with director Robert Mulligan and producer Alan Pakula
  • Fearful Symmetry feature-length documentary
  • A Conversation with Gregory Peck feature-length documentary
  • 100 Years of Universal: Restoring the Classics featurette on the film's restoration process
  • Gregory Peck's 1963 Academy Award acceptance speech and his remarks upon receiving the AFI Life Achievement Award
  • Excerpt from Cecilia Peck's Tribute To Gregory Peck
  • Scout Remembers featurette with actress Mary Badham
  • Original theatrical trailer

 

Universal is also releasing a commemorative Limited Edition Collector's Series Blu-ray edition with all of the same features.

One of the most acclaimed anti-war sagas ever made, All Quiet on the Western Front won two Academy Awards - Best Picture and Best Director.

 

 

 

Newly restored from the original film negative, Universal's

Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack presents the film in a 1.33:1 aspect

ratio with 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio. The disc also contains a number of

bonus features, such as:

34412_medium.jpgMGM34411_medium.jpgIn an early announcement to retailers, MGM has revealed that it will release on Blu-ray two classic Alfred Hitchcock films: Rebecca (1940), starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, and Notorious (1946), starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman.

 

 

 

In 1941, Rebecca won Oscar Awards for Best Picture and Best Cinematography, Black-and-White (George Barnes). In 1946, Notorious was nominated for the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.

 

 

 

Exact technical specs, supplemental features and region coding status

for these releases are unknown at the moment, but the preliminary

release date for the two Blu-rays set by the studio is January 24th.

for these releases are unknown at the moment, but the preliminary

Segundo o site da Paramount' date=' parece que consertaram sim o DVD... Só que agora é tarde.

 

E andei passeando pelos sites (inclusive o da própria) e lá estão os BDs e com extras ainda por cima (pelo menos MI-1 e MI-2)...

Até onde eu sei, o MI-1 e o MI-2 tem extras sim, mas parece que o disco de extras do dvd do MI-3 foi limado...ou seja, ainda restou um problema...12

Winner of Oscar Award for Best Cinematography (Robert Burks, North By Northwest, The Birds), To Catch A Thief will be available for purchase on March 6th.

Universal%20StudiosNext year, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is planning on bringing Jaws to Blu-ray. Director Steven Spielberg's classic adventure stars Roy Scheider (The French Connection) as a small-town police chief who has to team up with a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss, American Graffiti) and a crazed shark hunter (Robert Shaw, The Deep) in order to defeat a man-eating shark. Jaws is expected to street on August 14th, 2012.

Tess Blu-ray

distributors Concorde Video have revealed that they are planning to

release on Blu-ray acclaimed director Roman Polanski's Tess

(1979), starring Nastassja Kinski, Leigh Lawson, and Peter Firth. In

1981, the film won three Oscar Awards, including Best Cinematography and

Best Best Art Direction-Set Decoration. The preliminary release date

set by the distributors is March 15th.

Os BDs do 007 já lançados são excelentes. Não há dúvida de que esse box é obrigatório para os fãs (mais uma vez).
