Administrator
ANUNCIADO PRÓXIMO PROJETO DE SHYAMALAN: AVATAR Shyamalan's Avatar vs. Cameron's Avatar Date: January 8' date=' 2007 By: Ronnie Adams Source: Variety M. Night Shyamalan is planning his own Avatar. This one based on the Nickelodoen cartoon series. Shyamalan signed a three-picture deal with MTV Films to adapt the anime Avatar: The Last Airbender for the bigscreen. He will write, direct and produce the live-action franchise. Paramount confirmed the pact with Shyamalan just hours after Fox Filmed Entertainment announced it is greenlighting James Cameron's Avatar, the director's first feature since "Titanic." Although they may have the same name, the two projects have nothing to do with each other in terms of storylines. Cameron's is a sci-fi action-adventure that he's been working on for 11 years. Both studios are already digging their heels in for a media battle. Paramount has registered the name of its project with the Motion Picture Assn. of America while a Fox rep said, "We own the movie title 'Avatar.' There won't be another film called 'Avatar' coming from anyplace." Studio vs. Studio! Mano y Mano! In the end, they'll both realize a fight is bad for business and try to hash some kind of release deal. Just like New Line did with Austin Power: Goldmember when MGM sued them over the name Goldmember. Part of the settlement involved New Line shifting release dates around. Avatar marks the first time Shyamalan has taken on a project that didn't originate from his own source material. It's also the first kids' film he's worked on, although he said his last film, Lady in the Water, began as a bedtime story for his children. Avatar is set in an Asian-influenced fantasy world permeated by martial arts and magic, follows the adventures of the successor to a long line of Avatars who must put aside his irresponsible ways and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations. Avatar is one of the only cartoons I can watch with my daughter. We spend alot of time talking about if we'd choose water, earth, air or fire bending. I know she'll be thrilled to hear this news.[/quote']
Jailcante
Tenho que rever os filmes. E ainda não vi A Dama da Água. Mas a cotação atual seria: A Vila 5/5 O Sexto Sentido 4/5 Sinais 3/5 Corpo Fechado 3/
Yoh
Putz...
Fonte: MNightFans.com On Tuesday Jan 16, M. Night went out to the town with a new original script, or spec entitled GREEN PLANET. So far, Universal, Paramount, Warner Brothers and Sony have all passed. Not much is known about GREEN PLANET . The Night story, insiders say, centers on an alien invasion of earth carried out using Nature's flora and fauna. Sources also say that so far only Fox was intrigued, but even then was demanding substantial rewrites, something Night is usually unwilling to do. Now, because it wasn't purchased in the first round, that doesn't neccessarily mean that GREEN PLANET won't find a home. Many scripts don't sell first round out but what makes this interesting is that this is M. Night Shyamalan. He dominated the spec script world with everything he put out. His scripts would only be on the market 24-48 hours! Even if GREEN PLANET isn't purchased we still have Avatar: The Last Airbender to look forward to.
Variety reports that when writer/director M. Night Shyamalan traveled from Philadelphia to Hollywood recently to cement his plan to turn the cartoon "Avatar: The Last Airbender" into a live-action film for Paramount' date=' he and his new CAA representatives showed several studios a new script he's written. Called The Green Effect, the film is about a large-scale, cataclysmic environmental crisis that turns into a struggle by mankind to overcome nature. The unveiling of the script did not immediately create a green effect for Shyamalan, adds the trade, as no studio liked it enough to take it off the table. Studios are understandably wary, since Shyamalan is coming off the first failure of his career, Lady in the Water. Shyamalan walked away from his round of meetings with ideas and notes and has gone home to do a rewrite. He will return within a month, armed with a script that will bear a new title, along with a cast and budget. If the revamp scores Shyamalan a deal, he'll likely make the film before the "Avatar" pic.[/quote']

Administrator
Script Review: The Green Effect Date: February 13' date=' 2007 By: Ronnie Adams Source: Latino Review With last months news regarding M. Night's latest script getting the ol' "thank you, come again" from the big studios, El Mayimbe went on the hunt for the script to see what all the hub bub was about. El Mayimbe's a bit fired up over the treatment the script is being given, as well as M. Night himself. Mother Nature is pissed. Click on the image below to find out why.
