Posted January 10, 2020 Author Members Report Share Posted January 10, 2020 Pule de 10 para o Oscar de Curta de Animação, "Hair Love", animação da Sony, conta a história de um pai afro-americano tentando arrumar o cabelo da filha pela primeira vez. É muito bem feito, é engraçado, tem animal de estimação fofo, tem doença, é comovente, é engajado, fala sobre identidade, e tem ainda uma bonita canção fechando o curta. A apresentadora dos indicados, Issa Rae, faz a única voz do filme. Junta tudo isso, mais o currículo de Matthew Cherry, seu diretor, também ele negro, e temos um dos favoritos na categoria. A amizade entre um gato (preto) vira-lata (tão mal cuidado que parece um rato) e um Pit Bull criado para rinhas. Não há falas. Só uma tocante música de fundo. Sua diretora e roteirista, Rosana Sullivan, merece todos os parabéns do universo por conseguir falar de mau trato animal, para crianças e adultos, de uma maneira linda e real. O final é pra chorar. Sabiamente o estúdio (Pixar/Disney) não o acoplou a nenhuma animação no ano passado, senão haveria a maior choradeira antes do principal. No Oscar da categoria, animais, mormente gatos e cachorros, sempre se dão bem. Por isso muitos analistas acham que ele pode vencer. Maravilhoso. 9 minutos. Posted January 10, 2020 Author Members Report Share Posted January 10, 2020 Forte candidato ao Oscar de Melhor Curta de Ficção, "Brotherhood" se passa na Tunísia rural, lugar em que muitos homens jovens têm sido recrutados para o exército do ISIS, a contragosto das famílias - já quem o povo da Tunísia nem é tão religioso assim, como no resto do mundo árabe - mas é uma forma fácil de ganhar dinheiro, por meio do mercenarismo. A diretora Meryam Joobeur, passando de automóvel pela região, se deparou com dois irmãos na estrada, cortando uma ovelha, e pediu para tirar uma foto deles. Que recusaram. Com o rosto marcante dos rapazes - completamente sarapintados - na cabeça, e a temática política muito clara em sua mente, ela escreveu um roteiro - um drama familiar, que pergunta-se sobre como se dá a volta para casa depois do conflito na Síria - que vem chamando a atenção no mundo todo. Voltou à região e fez o filme, não só com os dois irmãos mais velhos vistos na estrada, mas com o irmãozinho caçula deles. Magistralmente fotografado, muito bem atuado, e uma dose grande de tristeza. Posted January 11, 2020 Author Members Report Share Posted January 11, 2020 Muito cotado na bolsa de apostas para ser um dos 5 finalistas ao Oscar de Curta de Animação, "Sister" narra a chatice que é ter uma irmã caçula sob a ótica de um menino chinês, durante os anos 1990, vale lembrar - ainda na vigência da Política do Filho Único. O roteiro para mim foi bastante previsível, embora veja comentários manifestando surpresa. Mas a técnica de animação empregada pela diretora Siqi Song chama a atenção. É como se os personagens e a maior parte dos objetos fossem feitos de felpo cinza, metaforicamente, uma memória sem cor. Na contramão dos outros concorrentes à Melhor Curta de Animação, essa é uma animação assumidamente de comédia, uma bobajada deliciosa, no melhor estilo Papa-Léguas. Dei boas risadas. Além de um visual bastante pop, conta com uma trilha sonora excelente, lembrando um video-game, que dá muita dinamicidade à comédia. 6 minutos. Adorei. Só colocaram o nome do ganhador no telão lá. Ora apressavam a apresentação (pra caber em 3 horas), ora esticavam (com as piadinhas do apresentador). Enfim, esse povo tem que repensar essas apresentações. Ou eles separam as apresentações de TV e Cinema em dias distintos, ou faz que nem o Globo de Ouro e reduz muito o número de categorias pra cada um.
