Getty Images Timothée Chalamet está em negociações com a Fox Searchlight para interpretar Bob Dylan na cinebiografia atualmente em desenvolvimento pelas mãos do diretor James Mangold (Ford vs. Ferrari, Logan). Intitulado Going Electric, o filme está em desenvolvimento com Dylan trabalhando ativamente em parceria com o estúdio e o realizador. De acordo com informações do Deadline, as expectativas são de que Chalamet entre em produção com Going Electric já no segundo semestre deste ano. O ator ainda será visto nas telonas em 2020 com The French Dispatch, de Wes Anderson, e com o aguardado remake de Duna, de Denis Villeneuve. Ainda não está claro se Chalamet vai emprestar sua voz e cantar alguns dos clássicos de Dylan no longa, ou se suas interpretações serão dubladas — como Rami Malek em Bohemian Rhapsody. O Deadline, no entanto, afirma que o ator está tomando aulas de guitarra para se familiarizar com o instrumento. Ainda não há mais detalhes sobre a história do filme ou o período da carreira de Dylan que será abordado, mas o título sugere um filme sobre a transição na carreira do artista: quando ele estava destinado a se tornar um dos grandes nomes da música folk e resolveu trocar a guitarra acústica pela elétrica. Diretor de fotografia disse que filme não está morto, mas não tem previsão de quando vão poder filmar. Diretor James Mangold está agora tratando do Indiana Jones 5. Bob Dylan Biopic ‘Going Electric’ Delayed The Bob Dylan biopic Going Electric has been delayed, and there appears to not be a timetable for when production will resume. Cinematographer Phedon Papamichael said in a new interview with Collider that the film is currently on hold saying, “I don’t think it’s dead, but it’s a tough one to pull off in a COVID-era because it’s all in small clubs with lots of extras in period costumes, so you’ve got lots of hair and makeup.” News of the Dylan biopic surfaced in January via Deadline who said Going Electric would cover Dylan’s transition from folk to rock. Academy Award-nominated actor Timothee Chalamet was cast as Dylan, and the singer-songwriter icon’s longtime manager Jeff Rosen would act as a producer on the film.
