A Warner lá é meio que um canal jovem. Por isso quase todas as séries da Warner americana fazem muito sucesso por aqui. Gilmore Girls, Everwood, Smallville, One Tree Hill. Por isso não faz tanto sucesso como os "adultos" como a ABC, NBC, CBS.

A TV ta ligada na Globo. Não to "assistindo" o filme. Só to com a TV ligada mesmo. Alias, acho esse filme bem idiota.

Capote will surely be up for a Best Actor bid at the Oscars. Might even nab a shot at Best Adapted Screenplay, too. Mrs. Henderson Presents looks like a strong possibility for a Best Actress bid — and some nods in the crafts categories. Those are the first strong consensus views emerging from the Toronto Film Festival just two days after it began. Viewings of Capote actually caused a stampede on Friday night, fast filling up two screenings for journos and industry pros. The spillover had to be content to attend the screening next door for Brokeback Mountain, which had open seats. Later that night, at 10 p.m., a special, additional screening of Capote was added to accommodate festgoers desperate to witness what the deafening buzz was all about. And that was best described by GoldDerby guru Anne Thompson of The Hollywood Reporter, whose review asserts that Philip Seymour Hoffman is a brilliant actor who "inhabits Truman Capote." This biopic, she adds, "takes the time to peel away the author's outer layers and give us a glimpse at the murky depths within." Our Oscar seer Thelma Adams of Us Weekly reports about the other fest rave so far: "Harvey's back with Mrs. Henderson (think Mrs. Brown without the hoop skirts). Nods for costumes, design, natch. But also Dame Judi, who's continually on screen and gorgeous! And they say there are no roles for women over forty! But don't overlook Hoskins — the best scenes in the movie are their scenes together." Reax to Brokeback Mountain are generally positive, too. Most wows were for Heath Ledger's smoldering perf as the closet-case cowboy quietly pining for Jake Gyllenhaal, who is equally believable as a homo on the range. Ang Lee's direction is strong, but many fest-goers gripe that his flick is too long and some Oscarwatchers wonder if it can score a Best Pic bid. Its strongest attributes seem to be the perfs. Everybody griped — and groaned — that Elizabethtown is too long. And too featherweight to be considered for a Best Pic nod. Indeed, it doesn't seem like an Oscar rival at all, although it's a sweet, charming date flick. Some film-snob critics didn't think so, however: a few were caught storming out of the pic's screening midway through, fuming against its sugary sentiment, as they always (predictably) do. If only Cameron Crowe had added some Celine Dion tracks to his Top 40 underscore, they would've committed suicide and we'd all be spared their tantrums evermore. (Oh, we can dream, can't we?) Thelma Adams of Us Weekly Offers These Additional Fest Observations for Derbyites: "Best Actor: Cillian Murphy in Breakfast at Pluto. From sexy killer in summer's biggest sleeper, Redeye, to a totally believable Irish cross-dresser. He's the fastest rising British star!!! "OK, which leads me to other bests: I loved Walk the Line — It's Ray but with an emotional romantic kick. Nods for Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix. What's interesting is that the buzz tends to be one way or the other: Reese or Joaquin. I'm for both. It's not just their fabulous singing together (they both use their own pipes) — it's the emotional connection. And, of course, the amazing music from T Bone Burnett. This is a keeper in the music biopic list. Also, it knows where to start and where to end — no endless downward spirals and just the right amount of back story. Look out for director James Mangold! "Best in show so far: A History of Violence. Viggo! Viggo! The best David Cronenberg in years. Tense, smart, would win the Indy 500 of narrative drive. Best work of Maria Bello -- maybe a supporting? "I'm mixed on Brokeback Mountain overall, but certain that Heath Ledger is the breakout performance here." A única coisa que eu vi sobre Toronto até agora. Não vi ainda. To meio sem tempo, acho que vou esperar passar na Warner mesmo. Já confirmaram que estréia em Novembro, da pra esperar. Lá nos EUA não estreou bem não: A estréia da nova temporada de The O.C. nos EUA, na última quinta-feira (8/9), mostrou que a série já não atrai mais tanto como no passado. A season premiere foi assistida por 7,4 milhões de norte-americanos, contabilizando 12,73% menos televisores sintonizados na série do que na estréia da segunda temporada.

Mas o grande vencedor de Veneza foi Goodnight. And, Good Luck (só eu odeio a pontuação desse título?). Melhor Ator e Melhor Roteiro.

Nenhuma das duas será principal Bart! Clarkson será coadjuvante e Winslet, como já havia falado, terá um cameo role. Winslet está fora deste Oscar, na minha opinião pelo menos, só se ocorrer uma raridade...e das bravas! Como eles amam a Kate Winslet, eu não duvido de nada.

Tim Festival revela programação Confirmadíssimos A produção do Tim Festival acaba de anunciar a programação completa da edição 2005 do evento, que este ano ocorre no Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, entre 21 (sexta-feira) e 23 (domingo) de outubro. Ao todo serão 34 atrações, sendo 27 delas internacionais, que vão desde a eletrônica de vanguarda (Autechre, M. Takara 3) ao hip-hop da velha guarda (De La Soul, KL Jay) e de última geração (Dizze Rascal, M.I.A.), passando por nomes seminais do punk rock (Elvis Costello, Television), cantor-ator (Vincent Gallo), bandas novas incensadas (Arcade Fire, Kings Of Leon), jazz (Wayne Shorter), samba (Dona Ivone Lara) e salsa (The Conga Kings). Os badaladíssimos Strokes são a grande atração, tocando no palco principal no dia 21. O Wilco, que quase veio em edições anteriores do evento, também confirmou presença. Além do palcão (Main Stage), as apresentações ocorrem em outros três espaços: tim Club, para shows de jazz e afins, Tim Lab, para novas tendências, e Motomix, onde a pista ferve até alta madrugada. Os ingressos custam R$ 120 para o Tim Club (mesa, por pessoa), R$ 70 para o Tim Lab (pista), R$ 50 para o Motomix (pista), e R$ R$ 100,00 para o Tim Stage (pista) - no dia 23, para Elvis Costello, R$100,00 (pista e mesa frente) e R$ 80,00 (mesa fundo).
