Some incredibly revealing spoilers about Green Lantern have been posted online detailing everything from the constructs we'll see to moments taken directly from the comic books, hints at the future of the franchise, easter eggs and more... Ring online." -Kilowog's power ring makes a cannon-like "BOOM" sound, like in the comic books. -Hal's constructs include a gattling gun, a giant green hand, a dune buggy, an anti-aircraft gun, a F-18 jet, a sword, giant pulleys and much more. -Sinestro's trademark weapon is a double-edged Korugarian spear. He also makes a construct of Kilowog at one point. -The Guardians live in high towers near the Great Hall of Oa. Krona's tower is slightly toppled as a sign of his corruption at Parallax's hands. -During a battle scene, Hal's and Sinestro's power ring run out of energy, and Sinestro tells Hal to summon his battery from the pocket dimension. Hal says he doesn't know how to do it, and Sinestro asks him if Kilowog never taught him that. Hal says no and Sinestro gruffs before him and Hal unite their rings, opening a small wormhole from where Sinestro pulls his battery. Him and Hal both recharge on it. This is taken almost word-by-word from Geoff Johns' "Secret Origin. -During the final battle, Parallax tries to possess Hal, but fails. In the process, Hal has a vision of the future, where Coast City has been destroyed and he is the one to blame. -Hector Hammond tries to steal Hal Jordan's power ring, believing that it can cure his mutation, just as Parallax arrives. It consumes Hammond and tries to use the ring's energy, but fails and then tries to use Hal as a weapon to tap into the nearly unlimited powers of the Green Light of Willpower. Nós vimos: Thor Cá estou eu, recém egresso da pré-estréia de Thor, e confesso a vocês que mesmo com os bons comentários ouvidos e todos os trailers legais que eu tinha visto, ainda tinha algum receio quanto a execução desse filme, sei lá... Misturar fantasia nesse universo, até então, com um toque de verosimilhança tecnológica da Marvel me parecia algo bem difícil de se fazer... [Mais:] Mas saibam que Kenneth Branagh conseguiu isso com maestria... O filme é muito bom, e não vejo exagero no que muitos dizem, que Thor o melhor da Marvel até agora. Não tiro os méritos do Homem de Ferro I, ele também é um grande filme mas a ótima atuação de Robert Downey Jr. potencializou muito a produção, coisa que não acontece com o Thor, o filme não ficou acima da média pela atuação inspirada de um cara foda, mas sim por um perfeito equilíbrio entre diversos fatores que fazem dele um filme muito bom. A palavra é EQUILÍBRIO, Brannagh faz um filme em que tudo acontece por um motivo, não se acha nenhuma cena sem propósito no filme, ele se encaixa muito bem, sem perder o ritmo ou deixar aqueles buracos enormes que precisam ser preenchidos com uma forçada de barra na "magia do cinema" ou pela burrice do espectador. A história é aquela que todo mundo já deduziu vendo os trailers... Thor está prestes a ser coroado o novo rei de Asgard, mas a cidade é invadida por alguns gigantes do gelo, que querem recuperar a caixa do Inverno Eterno... artefato esse que havia sido tomado dos gigantes numa antiga guerra, vencida pelos asgardianos sob o comando de um rejuvenescido por CG Odin Hopkins... Esse pequeno entrave acaba atrapalhando a coroação, e os gigantes são facilmente subjugados pelo Destruidor (comandado por Odin)... Thor fica puto, Loki dá uma mãozinha, incitando seu irmão a invadir o reino dos Gigantes do gelo em busca de uma retratação. Obóviamente o pau quebra, e a frágil paz entre os povos fica ameaçada, Odin resgata Thor e os guerreiros que o seguiram (Fandral, Hogun, Volstagg, Sif e o próprio Loki)e em Asgard discute com seu filho, que demonstra ser indolente e desrespeitoso com o AINDA rei de Asgard... Odin resolve banir Thor pela cagada, o manda pra terra, sem poderes, para que ele aprenda a ser mais humilde, menos arrogante e menos impulsivo... Lá ele tromba com Jane Foster, sua amiga Darcy e o professor Slevig, que estudam estranhos fenômenos estelares no deserto... A partir daí, começa a jornada de Thor pra se retratar, e voltar a ser digno de empunhar Mjolnir, o martelo que foi mandado pra Terra durnate seu exílio e que acaba sendo "capturado" pela SHIELD. Odin entra no seu sono hibernante, e Loki aproveita isso pra assumir o trono de Asgard, descobre que é filho do rei dos Gigantes do gelo, e vai até lá pedir pra que eles matem Odin e assim ele possa ser rei de fato... Além disso ele resolve acabar de vez com Thor, mandando o Destruidor pra Terra matar seu irmão. Voltando à análise... o elenco do filme está todo muito bem, Chris Hemsworth, que é o iniciante, fez um ótimo trabalho... Interpreta o Thor, inicialmente, como um babaca, fanfarrão e que literalmente se acha o cara mais fodão do planeta. Em nenhum momento ficou diminuído pela presença majestosa de Antony Hopkins... Hopkins aliás é o próprio Odin, difícil imaginar outro ator na pele do pai de todos os deuses, mas elogiá-lo é chover no molhado... Tom Hiddleston é outro cara que dá a Loki uma interpretação muito boa. Durante o filme você chega até a ter pena dele a acreditar que ele realmente teria um motivo pra fazer tudo o que faz, quando ele descobre a verdade sobre sua origem... Mas logo depois você vê porque ele é o Deus da trapaça e mentira se mostrando um maquiavélico planejador e conspirante de situações só pra se dar bem na fita!!! Entre o panteão dos deuses ajudantes, os que mais tem destaque são Sif, interpretada pela belíssima Jaimie Alexander, que aliás dá um dinamismo impressionante pra personagem, e Heimdall, personagem de Idris Elba, e olha que o afro-nórdico não fez feio, e tem uma grande importância pra trama. Outro ponto que merece destaque é a participação dos Gigantes do gelo no filme, eles não estão ali simplesmente pra tapar buraco ou pra renderem cenas de porradaria gratuita, eles são um ponto chave na trama e Colm Feore, que interpreta "rei de gelo" dá um ar extremamente modafócka pro personagem. Visualmente o filme também é grandioso, Asgard é majestosa, e prestem atenção na primeira cena em que ela aparece, com uma "câmera" impressionante viajando de um reino para o outro, chegando em Asgard por baixo dágua. Os cenários digitais são vistosos e fazem jus à alcunha de "morada dos deuses". As roupas, armaduras e trajes dos asgardianos foram foco de muitos ataques de pelanca pelos nerds, todos dizendo que tudo era ridículo e "limpo" demais, pois lhes digo que ficaram perfeitos pra proposta do filme, de mostrar os Asgardianos como uma raça muito além da nossa, que habitam um mundo diferente, onde a fantasia e magia são uma realidade científica. As cenas de ação, apesar de não serem especialidade de um diretor teatral e shakespeareano como Brannagh, são bem montadas, sem aquela lenga-lenga de câmera lenta, mas também sem as tremediras que viraram moda há algum tempo... Destaque pra luta contra os Gigantes do Gelo e também a batalha com o Destruidor, que é até um pouco curta, mas justifica-se, afinal ele estava enfrentando o Thor, o Deus do trovão, e ele estava boladíssimo. O filme tem algumas gags, piadas fáceis (como o segundo atropelamento do Thor), a presença de uma personagem como alívio cômico (Darcy, amiga de Jane Foster) e até o sisudo Heimdall tem um momento comédia no filme... Mas nada exagerado, são apenas pequenos momentos de descontração no meio da trama, aquele risinho de poucos segundos no meio da jornada que o filme conta. É claro que temos alguns momentos piegas, principalmente envolvendo Thor e Jane Foster, mas discordo das críticas que pontuam um clima forçado entre os dois... o envolvimento parece ser rápido demais, mas acho que as pessoas se esquecem que o Thor estava exilado, sem poderes, num mundo que não era o seu e tomando pau de enfermeiros de um hospital, devia estar se sentindo um lixo... E sem falar que a garota por quem se apaixona não é qualquer uma... é a TETÉIA DA NATALIE PORTMAN, PORRAAAAAAA!!!! Thor é extremamente didático, e apesar de estar cheio de referências que a nerdaiada vai gozar nas cuecas, como o Dr. Selvig citando seu amigo especialista em raios gama da faculdade, o nome de Donald Blake aparecendo de surpresa no meio do filme, e a aparição relâmpago do "Agente Barton", o filme pode ser entendido por qualquer espectador, mesmo que nunca tenha lido uma HQ do Thor, ou que sequer saiba que ele veio das HQs, mas não é executado imbecilmente, a história é simples, mas sincera, não tentam te enganar, criar clímax forçado ou esse tipo de coisa, é a mais pura jornada clássica do herói, que é vista desde os primórdios do teatro grego, e ainda muito eficiente. A única ressalva que faço é com relação ao 3D, eu não sou de mimizar sobre isso, acho o efeito algo natural e que deva se tornar comum em pouco tempo... mas por hora, enquanto o preço do ingresso ainda pesa no bolso de vocês, nerds pobres e blefados, podem assistir o filme nas salas normais, pois os efeitos não acrescentam muito ao filme... tirando as panorâmicas impressionantes de Asgard, no mais só vemos cadeiras, carros estacionados e as legendas saltando da tela. Supercomunistinha de Faculdade! Pois então, nerdaiada maldita... a DC liberou o preview da edição #900 de Action Comics, com o superman voltando pro título e cheio de gente conhecida colaborando com a história... [Mais:] Como o Triplo mostrou , o arco onde Lex Luthor ganha poderes divinos segue, mostrando o Superman chegando pra confrontá-lo, enquanto o resto do "supersquad" ainda tenta se livrar do retornado e revivido Apocalypse... Mas a edição é comemorativa, e tem 100 páginas... E numa história assinada por David Goyer, vemos o Superman RENUNCIANDO sua cidadania estadunidense... A treta surge quando Clark participa de protestos pacíficos em Teerã, e isso não é visto com bons olhos pelo governo dos EUA, ele então resolve dar uma chutada no balde... O CBM disse que a passagem ainda não fez alarde na imprensa americana, mas adianta que, se alguns órgãos de notícia da FOX classificaram o novo traje da Mulher Maravilha (a calça preta de jaquetinha) como "anti-americano", quando virem isso aí devem dar uma mimizada forte. Nerdisticamente falando, essa atitude do Superman dá um cartaz maior pra ele, principalmente fora dos EUA, afastando um pouco aquela imagem de cãozinho de estimação do governo que ficou arraigada no personagem desde que Frank Miller o colocou pra brigar com o Bátima em Cavaleiro das Trevas, lá nos anos 80! O que eu acho? Pode parecer besteira pra gente, mas o caráter patriótico (e xenofóbico) dos norte-americanos é muito maior do que aqui (que só tem patriotismo em copa do mundo, ou quando o Stallone faz piada com macacos e o RJ), os caras realmente se orgulham de serem "americanos", tanto que o termo "americano" acabou ganhando uma nova conotação e passou a não reconhecer outros habitantes das américas (Central e do Sul) com a mesma alcunha, nem mexicanos que fazem parte da América do Norte são chamados de "americanos" e muito menos os canadenses... Então, pros caras, de um país onde esses valores realmente tem uma importância fundamental nos valores sociais, ver personagens que já são ícones da cultura americana, e não por coincidência vestem as cores do país, renunciando características que o fazem MAIS americanos deve ser realmente revoltante... Apesar do Superman e da Mulher Maravilha não serem americanos, um é alienígena e outra é de Temiscyra, adotaram o país como pátria e lutam pelos valores morais do mesmo... Ainda que alguns personagens patrióticos acabem tendo atritos políticos em algumas histórias, isso acaba passando despercebido, pois só nós, nerds de carteirinha conhecemos essas histórias... tanto que pra maioria das pessoas o Capitão América é um representante fidedigno do capitalismo e da dominação americana... Ainda que, por várias vezes o persoangem tenha ido contra as diretrizes POLÍTICAS dos EUA, justamente por achar que elas não se alinhavam com os valores morais que fundaram a nação e que ele defende... Acho que o Superman fazer isso num momento em que os EUA questiona até a identidade e o comprometimento do seu presidente (pros desinformados, a oposição acusa Barak Obama de não ser americano, e não ter comprometimento com o país) é algo muito corajoso e que poderia trazer algo a mais, em termos de conteúdo erudito, pra uma HQ lida por tanta gente... Suscitar discussões sobre a diferença entre os valores que ergueram a nação americana e o que o país defende hoje em dia... Martin Campbell & Greg Berlanti Talk Green Lantern Check out what the director and screen writer for the upcoming DC comics adaptation had to say about the scope of the movie, and how they think it will measure up to the many other CBMs out there.. Over at Hero Complex, Geoff Boucher has quotes from the main men involved with WB's Green Lantern. And although they don't reveal anything new plot wise, they do give us some interesting reasons why they feel Green lantern will set itself apart from the similar fare coming our way. Here are some excerpts. Director Martin Campbell explains what makes his movie unique.. “The interesting part of all this is to take a hero and take an adventure and then go out there,” the filmmaker said pointing to the ceiling and beyond. “That’s something you haven’t really seen.” "This was a chance to do some things I’ve never done before. We have a story that is very human and very much about human emotions but what’s within that story takes us off-world and into some alien settings that are extraordinary.” Also, screen writer Greg Berlanti weighs in with why he thinks Green Lantern will take things to the next level.. “Look, to me, Spider-Man, Batman and those movies, I don’t know where you go with those other than plugging in another bad guy. They did an amazing job with those last two Batman movies but really [visually] where do you go with those characters? You’re still in New York or in Gotham. With this you go on and on. Poll: Who Would You Like To See Play Lex Luthor In Superman: Man Of Steel? There would seem to be just one more big role to fill in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot. And we have only really had one name brought up on the rumor mill. But if you had your choice, who would play Superman's most famous nemesis?.. It seems that Lex Luthor is the final "big" character to be cast in WB and Zack Snyder's Superman reboot. Now we haven't had any OFFICIAL word that Luthor will even appear in the movie but I'd say it's a pretty safe bet. But who best to play him? The only name to have surfaced in connection with the role is relatively unknown actor Adam Harris. He has been actively campaigning for the part and is rumored to have actually been seen by Snyder and WB but that hasn't been confirmed. Other than that? Not a soul. It would appear that if the bald bastard is going to be in the movie that any kind of shortlist is being kept very hush hush. But with shooting expected to begin fairly soon and the rest of the main roles filled it shouldn't be too long before we get an announcement. Again, IF he will appear in the movie of course. Warner Brothers Upping Green Lantern's Special FX Budget With the release date less then two months away Warner Brother has given more money to fix the special FX in the highly anticipated Green Lantern movie. With the scrutiny of the first trailer and the release date rapidly approaching Warner Brothers has decided to up Green Lantern's VFX budget by another 9 million dollars. There is no worry that this will affect the release date of the film and WB are shrugging off that there are any problems with the film. Says Chris De Faria, Warner's executive VP of digital production: "There is no problem on Green Lantern. We try to add things to make the movie better until the 11th hour. That doesn't mean we're risking the movie up to the 11th hour." Sony Imageworks and Rising Sun Pictures are the primary special FX companies working of the film and according to Variety's source they are delivering on time. De Faria has also stated that one sequence that was entirely CG had been cut in the development of the film, but after the studio saw an early cut of the film it was added back in and that Pixomondo was hired to complete the scene. I've been in contact with this source for a little while now and they've yet to say/do anything that would make me think they are unreliable but regardless, take the rumors however you wish. - Lindsay Lohan never audtioned for any role with Superman. - Adam Harris audtioned and has two callbacks with readings with Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. - Adam has started a physical training program for a more demanding physical Lex Luthor. - Scripts are being held very tightly. rumored: there are two different versions floating around, there will be a lot of fight scenes toward the end. - There will be "employee hiring" job fairs for LexCorp in Chicago in the summer. - A major factory plant in chicago will be playing host to LexCorp industries. Click here to check out the pictures that are supposedly from a photoshoot that actor Adam Harris was apart of for the role of Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel'... Many of you will remember a couple weeks ago we posted the story claiming that the relatively unknown actor Adam Harris was in the running for Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder's upcoming movie 'Man of Steel'. The report even went so far as to claim that he has met with Snyder and had gone through a couple stages of auditioning already. Earlier today I received an e-mail containing these images that are supposedly from a recent photoshoot that Adam Harris was apart of for the role. However it remains to be seen whether these are from an official cast shoot, or just something the actor put together himself trying to campaign for the role. These are definitely new pictures because as many of you will remember when the first story broke that it was nearly impossible to find any pictures of the actor. Henry Cavill says when he landed the role of Superman he spent 20 minutes running around his house screaming, he also talks a little bit about passing up the role in 'Superman Returns'.... In this new interview with Henry Cavill he talks about what it was like landing the role in Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel'. He also goes into detail about his reasoning for passing up the same role 5 years ago in 'Superman Returns' which he declined because at the time he felt he couldn't do the character justice. "As much as I wanted it at a younger age, you get to a certain point where you go, ''OK, I''m ready for most things now.'' Back then, you believe you''re ready for it. But as soon as it happens, you think that it''s a little heavy. I''m glad it''s happening now as opposed to any other time." Sean Penn Opted Out of The Man of Steel Deadline reports that Sean Penn is in talks to join a war thriller produced by Zack Snyder. The article also mentions Penn turned down a role in Warner Brothers upcoming Superman film... That's right, who knows if it was Zod or a yet to be announced role, but Sean Penn turned down a spot in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman film The Man of Steel. Warner Brothers has been looking to put Penn into a major film and this news arrives with the announcement that Penn is circling a role in WB’s The Last Photograph. The Last Photograph is an Afghanistan war kidnap thriller and has been a long running side project of none other than Zack Snyder. The Last Photograph already has one member cast in the starring role, another tie-in, none other than the Dark Knight himself, Christian Bale. Unfortunate that Sean Penn (and fans) missed out on a role in the Man of Steel, perhaps Kevin Costner or Michael Shannon or Lindsay Lohan have taken his place. Diane Lane Talks Superman: Man Of Steel, Drops Minor Spoiler While speaking to uk.eonline, the woman who will play Martha Kent in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot reveals the tactics he and the studio used to keep the script details from getting out, as well as dropping a little info about the story.. Apparently Snyder is being almost as careful with the script for his new Superman movie as the notoriously cagey Chris Nolan. Diane lane reveals that she couldn't even take home a copy, and has only been shown it once.. "I read the script under lock and key, I was locked in a room with the script and was only allowed three hours with it. I nailed it into my memory. I'm really excited. I'm really not allowed to talk much about it, I think, but it does cover the entire range of years, from infancy on." Now obviously Lane's and Kevin Costner's casting as Supes parents suggested that the story would go back to the little Kryptonian tike, but that seems to confirm that we will be getting another origin sequence anyway. Lane also mentions her experiences working on Hollywoodland, the biopic of George Reeves who was the first actor to don the red cape.. "When I worked on Hollywoodland, I got to experience sort of the behind the scenes of what it was like for the people who were making the television series that I grew up watching, so it's all very inbred in my mind," she said.
