    Felipe, pelo que sei "American Darlings" estréia ano que vem só. Até o fim do ano a Nicole só estréia "A Feiticeira".

    No imdb diz que tem mais 3 filmes da Nicole pra esse ano, alem de A feiticeira: American darlings, Fur e Emma's war.

    E a Warner já anunciou pra setembro um box da Greta Garbo com 10 dvds em comemoração de seu aniversário de 100 anos. O box trará vários clássicos da atriz ainda inéditos em dvd, como Ninotchka, Rainha Christina, Mata Hari, A dama das Camélias, entre outros...

    A Warner vai lançar em dvd todos os filmes estrelados pela dupla Fred Astaire e Ginger Rogers. Vão ser 2 boxes, o primeiro sai esse ano e o segundo em 2006.

    Rumores:

    The Tommy Boy: Holy Schnike Special Collector's Edition is tentatively set for 8/3.

    Adam Sandler and Burt Reynolds' new The Longest Yard     remake is expected on 9/20.

    The Warriors: Special Collector's Edition     will arrive on 10/4.

    Mike Epps and Cedric the Entertainer's soon-to-open version of the The Honeymooners     is tentatively expected on 10/18.

    We've been told to look for the new 2-disc and 4-disc versions of the Titanic: Special Collector's Edition on 10/18 as well (you can read more about these DVDs     here, from our coverage of the announcement event with director James Cameron back in early March).

    The War of the Worlds: Special Collector's Edition     will arrive on 11/1.

    A pair of new-to-DVD Diana Ross films, Lady Sings the Blues and Mahogany    , will arrive on 11/8.

    Finally, 11/15 will see the release of an Airplane: Don't Call Me Shirley Special Collector's Edition    .

    Remember, all these street dates are to be considered tentative until officially announced by the studio (and they could still shift around a little between now and then).

    By the way, we've learned that Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Special Editions, which had very tentatively been planned for release in August, have been delayed until later in the year.

    Os caça fantasmas 1 & 2:

    Columbia has kindly sent over artwork for the new Ghostbusters Giftset which includes both of the popular films. Each will feature newly remastered video, along with a collectible scrapbook created especially for this edition, audio commentary with Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis and Joe Medjuck, three featurettes, deleted scenes, multi-angle features, storyboards and two ectoplasmic episodes from the hilarious 1988 animated television series Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters. Audio will be provided by English Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. You'll be able to own this one from the 2nd August this year, priced at around $19.94 or thereabouts. We've attached our first look at the official region one artwork below:

    Os irmãos cara-de-pau:

    Universal has released early details on a 25th Anniversary edition of The Blues Brothers which stars John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. The single-disc release will be available to own from the 30th August this year, and should be priced at around $22.98. The disc will include both the 2 hour 13 minute theatrical version, and a 2 hour 28 minute expanded edition. Both these will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track for the expanded version, and a English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track for the theatrical version. Extras will include an introduction by Dan Aykroyd, a Behind-the-Scenes Documentary, Concert Footage and more. We've attached the official artwork below:

    Os detalhes de Ben-Hur:

    The set will feature an all-new transfer from newly restored 65mm elements, as well as an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track and the original 1925 silent film version of Ben-Hur. As for the extra material, you should expect a commentary by film historian T. Gene Hatcher with Scene Specific Comments from Charlton Heston, a music-only track showcasing Miklos Rozsa’s score, screen tests, a vintage news reels gallery, highlights from the 1960 Academy Awards Ceremony, and a theatrical trailer gallery. Completing the package will be a Ben-Hur: The Epic That Changed Cinema documentary, the 1994 Documentary Ben-Hur: The Making of an Epic, Hosted by Christopher Plummer, the 1986 Emmy Award nominated documentary Directed by William Wyler featuring the last interview with Wyler before his death, and lastly a Ben-Hur: A Journey Through Pictures feature which is described as a new audiovisual recreation of the popular film via stills, storyboards, sketches, music and dialogue.

    Warner e HP restauram o clássico "King Kong"

    "King Kong", de 1933, incluído entre os 100 melhores filmes de todos os tempos pelo American Film Institute, vai ressurgir nas telas em formato digital. A Warner - produtora do original - anunciou ter recuperado elementos do filme, espalhados em várias partes do mundo, e conseguido digitalizá-los para relançamento.

    A tecnologia que permitiu essa digitalização chama-se "Dirt & Scratch", e foi desenvolvida pela HP. Boa parte dos negativos originais do filme se deterioraram, mas com essa nova ferramenta será possível, dizem as duas empresas, juntar os originais que sobraram com o material supostamente perdido, dando-lhes o mesmo brilho da versão que passou nos cinemas nos anos 30.

    Com os avanços da tecnologia digital, acredita-se que muitos filmes antigos - teoricamente perdidos para um possível relançamento - possam voltar a circular. A mesma HP anunciou um novo processo de restauração para filmes feitos originalmente no formato Cinerama, lançado nos anos 50. Na época, embora considerado uma revolução, o formato foi criticado por não conseguir esconder as marcas da superposição de três painéis necessários para ampliar a dimensão lateral da imagem e o impacto da fotografia dos filmes. Havia distorções de perspectiva, já que o Cinerama utilizava tela plana (até então, todas as telas eram curvas).

    O primeiro filme que está sendo retrabalhado com essa nova tecnologia é "A Conquista do Oeste", de 1962, que a Warner pretende relançar assim que a restauração ficar pronta.
