"Bonequinha de Luxo" na R1. (14/11/2005)

Comemorando os 45 anos da maior comédia romântica de todos os tempos, Bonequinha De Luxo (Breakfast At Tiffany's) com Audrey Hepburn.

Este filme foi a consagração de Audrey, indicada cinco vezes ao Oscar de Melhor Atriz, que já havia vencido por "A Princesa e O Plebeu".

Bonequinha de Luxo é uma adaptação para as telas do conto de Truman Capote, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. O titulo por aqui, pra variar, ficou meio estranho.

No filme, Audrey interpreta Holly Golightly, uma garota de programa nova-iorquina, deliciosamente excêntrica, que está decidida a se casar com um milionário brasileiro. George Peppard interpreta seu vizinho, um escritor que é "patrocinado" pela ricaça Patricia Neal.

Adivinhar quem é o homem perfeito para Holly é fácil. Ver esse romance florescer é um grande prazer desta jóia rara, embalada pela trilha de Henry Mancini e da canção "Moon River", também de Mancini e de Johnny Mercer, ambas premiadas com o Oscar.

Com sua voz rouca e grave, é Audrey quem canta Moonriver, canção-tema do filme, ao mesmo tempo em que dá vida à deliciosa e fútil personagem.

Dirigida por Blake Edwards, esta comédia selou o nome de Audrey como um dos maiores de seu tempo.

A Paramount Home Entertainment lançará em 7 de fevereiro na Região 1, uma edição comemorativa de aniversário trazendo novos extras inéditos para marcar os 45 anos do filme.

- Orçamento de US$ 2,5 milhões;
- Audrey Hepburn recebeu US$ 750 mil pelo filme, sendo o segundo maior salário pago na época a uma atriz. O primeiro foi de Elizabeth Taylor por Cleópatra, de US$ 1 milhão;
- A princípio seria estrelado por Marilyn Monroe, e também foi oferecido a Kim Novak;
- As filmagens aconteceram 3 meses após o nascimento do primeiro filho de Audrey;
- A canção "Moon River" foi escrita especialmente para Audrey, considerando que ela não tinha treinamento para canto na época;
- A quantidade de pessoas presentes durante as gravações da cena inicial em que Audrey olha a vitrine da Tiffany's, fez com que ela ficasse nervosa e cometesse vários erros, tendo de refilmar a cena várias vezes;
- Pela primeira vez, desde o século XIX, a Tiffany's abriu em um domingo para que as filmagens dentro da loja fossem feitas;
- Audrey declarou que a cena em que joga o gato na rua durante o temporal foi a mais detestável que já rodou em toda sua carreira.

"A Noiva Cadáver" em Janeiro nos EUA. (14/11/2005)

A Warner Home Video já divulgou o lançamento de A Noiva Cadáver em DVD para a Região 1. A animação dirigida por Tim Burton e estrelada por Johnny Depp chega às lojas americanas em 31 de janeiro em uma edição especial bem caprichada.


Confira os detalhes do disco e um pouco sobre o filme.


Victor Van Dort (Johnny Depp) é um tímido filho de aspirantes à alta sociedade, que têm dinheiro mas não possuem nobreza. Victoria Everglot (Emily Watson) é a filha de uma nobre família que não tem um tostão furado. A união arranjada dos dois resolve o problema das duas famílias, ainda que não seja dada a nenhum dos dois a chance de opinar se querem ou não se casar com quem mal conhecem.

No ensaio geral na igreja, o atrapalhado Victor não consegue decorar seu texto, irritando o pastor Galswells (Christopher Lee). Este enxota Victor da igreja até que seja capaz de recitar suas falas corretamente. Victor vai então para a floresta e quando finalmente proclama o texto nupcial corretamente, coloca o anel de noivado num galho seco saindo do chão.

O galho seco no entanto é o dedo de uma defunta noiva (Helena Bonham Carter) que foi enterrada ali sem que ninguém soubesse, morta no dia do seu casamento. Ainda em seus trajes nupciais, ela sai da terra para se unir ao seu agora marido, Victor! Ele é então levado por ela para o mundo dos mortos onde deveriam ser felizes para sempre, dando início a um pesadelo para Victor.

Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection Bonus Disc

The Bonus Disc

First, the good news. The bonus disc of "The Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection" contains the two excellent feature-length documentaries which were on previous releases of Psycho and The Birds. Both look pretty good and are essential viewing ever for casual fans of Hitch.

Now, the bad news. The two other features are a bit of a mess. The AFI Salute To Alfred Hitchcock is a grotesque disappointment. The original TV broadcast ran about 75 minutes and was sheer delight, as anyone who has seen it will testify. What we get here is a version which is not so much emasculated as eviscerated. It has been cut down to fifteen minutes. Some brief comments from Ingrid Bergman, Henry Fonda, James Stewart and George Stevens Jr remain, along with what appears to be Hitchcock's complete acceptance speech - in itself, a funny and gracious acknowledgement of an outpouring of love from his colleagues. Fifteen minutes is better than nothing but it's still not good enough.

The other extra feature is the 1972 CBS documentary Masters of Cinema: Alfred Hitchcock which has lost about twenty minutes. This isn't quite so disastrous and what remains is riveting viewing. The first section, where Hitchcock is quizzed by Ingrid Bergman's daughter Pia Lindstrom, is the best as there is real chemistry between the two and Hitch is at his wittiest. The second half, conducted by film historian William K. Everson, is a bit stodgier but still well worth watching, not least to savour the way in which Hitchcock refuses to be pinned down on matters such as expressionism. Hitch looks remarkably hale and hearty in this programme, incidentally, and is obviously keen to plug Frenzy since he keeps bringing it up.

The two making-of documentaries are, however, triumphs of the form. I have carped about Laurent Bouzereau several times during my reviews of this set but I take my hat off to him here because both these pieces are excellent. The Making of Psycho is beautifully constructed and packed with great interviews from Janet Leigh, Peggy Robertson, Joseph Stefano, Hilton A Green and the likes of Clive Barker and Paul Hirsch who testify to the film's greatness. There are also extracts from audio interviews with Hitchcock and lots of archive photographs. All About The Birds is very good too, with contributions from a large number of the cast and crew - including Evan Hunter and Robert Boyle - along with the inevitable Peter Bogdanovich and Robin Wood.

The video quality of these pieces varies from the more than acceptable transfers of the making-of featurettes to the rather horrible sub-VHS of the Masters of Cinema documentary. Needless to say, this is mostly down to the source materials and it doesn't affect one's enjoyment. The sound is generally fine.

Se a Universal se preocupou em lançar o disco bonus por aqui provavelmente não deve estar pensando em lançar o box.

Lembro que estes filmes da Universal eu comprei em uma promoção boa. Eu vi a edição dupla de Psicose esta semana por 34,90, se não me engano. Na época que comprei a simples saiu por uns 20,00.

Olha Nina, quando eu comprei os dois primeiros boxes lançados pela Universal, eu paguei, respectivamente, R$ 224,00 e R$ 227,00. Eu até comentei há algum tempo atrás que eu acreditava que se esta "preciosidade" chegasse em terras brazucas deveria sair por mais de R$ 500. Mas, eu estive dando uma olhada no site CD Point, que vende dvds, cds importados e nacionais, e este box (importado) está custando R$ 458. Olhando por este prisma e considerando que os produtos importados recebem um aumento de 60% (valor dos impostos brasileiros) em cima do seu valor original, talvez este boxe custasse na faixa dos R$ 300. Mas sei lá...

Esses da Universal eu não comprei o box, comprei os DVDs separados, achei na época que saia mais em conta. Foi bom eu ter comprado quando vi a promoção pois atualmente é muito difícil eu encontrar aqui nas lojas físicas ... só encontro os pássaros.

A trio of seminal films dealing with the media are being primed for special-edition treatment by Warner Home Video. A new two-disc All the President's Men ($27) arrives right after Presidents Day on Feb. 21. In addition to a commentary from Robert Redford, whose Wildwood Productions produced the film, the new DVD includes segments about the making of the film and the recent revelation of Deep Throat.

 

 

 

Then on Feb. 28, Warner will release new two-DVD editions of Network and Dog Day Afternoon ($27, separately, or $60 in a box set with All the President's Men). Each has a commentary by director Sidney Lumet; Al Pacino participates in a making-of Dog Day documentary, as does Faye Dunaway for Network. The films, say Warner's George Feltenstein, "are as sharp, pointed and as powerful today as the day they were made. ... They came out as vanilla DVDs, (and) we knew they needed revisiting."

Ainda não confirmaram o lançamento no Brasil pois os dvds não foram nem anunciados oficialmente, mas a Warner já confirmou que saem em breve, e muito provavelmente vão sair aqui tb. Eu recomendo esperar mais um pouco.

Lembro de ter visto num outro post aqui do fórum que haveriam comentários em aúdio sim.Mas o jeito é aguardar...

O mais importante nesse caso,pra mim,é a DUBLAGEM clássica.Se houver redublagem,o DVD perde metade do valor pra mim,e acho que pra mta gente...

Ok then... agora a pergunta? Pra quê? A única coisa que chama atenção é o fato de ter a versão extendida ( se bem que, vai saber se são míseroa minutos a mais...), pra quem gosta do filme, como eu, e já viu tantas vezes, é interessante assistir uma versão maior.

Mas nada que justifique uma nova compra...

Estão lançando o filme na edição de cinema (39,90), edição extendida (39,90) ou então um pack com as duas, esse sim custa 72,90.

Estava vendo no Submarino a pré-venda de CINEMA PARADISO em 2 discos.
Ok then... agora a pergunta? Pra quê? A única coisa que chama atenção é o fato de ter a versão extendida ( se bem que' date=' vai saber se são míseroa minutos a mais...), pra quem gosta do filme, como eu, e já viu tantas vezes, é interessante assistir uma versão maior.

Mas nada que justifique uma nova compra...

Mesmo que fosse pra comprar apenas uma das versões, ainda assim acho que não valeria pena. Não por 39,90.
