Ligeiramente Grávidos ainda nem chegou por aqui e mês que vem já estréia nos EUA uma nova comédia produzida por Judd Apatow, Superbad, desta vez com Seth Rogen assinando o roteiro. Aparentemente é uma comédia adolescente como as outras, que gira em torno de jovens em busca de sexo e bebidas, mas andam dizendo que o bom roteiro e as piadas inspiradas fazem o filme valer a pena.

Four Restricted "Superbad" Clips

So, you're still not convinced whether you want to go see "Superbad" yet? Well, maybe these four uncensored clips will change your mind. The first three focus on each individual character. And while they are really funny, they don't compare to the "Drawings" one, where Seth talks about a problem he had as a kid.

The story revolves around two co-dependent high school seniors (Jonah Hill, Michael Cera) who set out to score alcohol for a party, believing that girls will then hook up with them and they will be ready for college. But as the night grows more chaotic, overcoming their separation anxiety becomes a greater challenge than getting the girls.

The film is from the same people that brought us "Knocked Up" and "40 Year Old Virgin." Seeing the kind of damage those two movies did at the box office, it is also expected for "Superbad" to not only make back its budget, but earn a couple of $100 million in the process when it hits theaters on August 17th.

Adorei o trailer, a parte do "I am McLovin" é demais.

Até parece que eu vou esperar até outubro.

Movie Reviews: 'Superbad'

 

Any movie titled Superbad would appear to be inviting negative reviews from critics. But, for the most part, critics are declining the invitation. Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times,

in fact, gives it a 3 1/2-star rating and writes that the movie "is a

four-letter raunch-a-rama with a heart ... astonishingly foul-mouthed,

but in a fluent, confident way where the point isn't the dirty words,

but the flow and rhythm, and the deep, sad yearning they represent."

Likewise Carina Chocano remarks in the Los Angeles Times,

"Wide-eyed and sincere as it is hilariously, unrepentantly profane, the

movie aims to express what it's like to stare down the barrel of your

first foray into adulthood, and it's not afraid to be honest about it."

Manohla Dargis in the New York Times is inspired to write a

similar description in raunchier terms (befitting the movie itself,

apparently, but hardly the prose one would expect to find in the pages

of the Times.) "If the penis is puzzled in Portnoy's Complaint, as Alexander Portnoy's shrink believes, in Superbad

it is thoroughly, stunningly clueless and as violently tremulous as a

divining rod at Hoover Dam," she comments. Gene Seymour in Newsday

assures wary filmgoers, however, that "no matter how outrageously

prurient things get, you never once feel as though you're being jabbed

in the ribs or shoved face-first into the muck of hormonal excess."

Joanne Kaufman in the Wall Street Journal describes the movie as "the canny evocation of male friendship in all its richness and complexity." And Ann Hornaday concludes in the Washington Post: "Superbad

proves itself to be not just smutty and stupid, but tender and all too

aware of the rue that can lie behind the smiles of a summer night."

Vi o trailer ontem e os atores parecem muito bem. Tem participação do Seth Rogen que está hilário, apesar de não ter achado tanta graça no trailer quanto em Ligeiramente Gravidos. Já está em pré-estréia.

Hoje passou um especial sobre o filme na MTV. Deve ter reprise pra quem se interessar.

Visto.

Bom, bom, mas na realidade eu esperava um pouco mais... O destaque vai, realmente, para McLovin e suas aventuras com os cops. Também gostei muito do Evan, fofo, fofo...

Uma coisa que acho interessante destacar: as meninas de high school, aqui, não são aquelas meninas super-gatas estonteantes, mas meninas bonitinhas engraçadinhas normais.

Fora isso, umas referências legais como por exemplo a Negócio Arriscado. E alguém mais sentiu um cheirinho de Jovens, Loucos e Rebeldes do Linklater nesse filme?

E para os atentos: fora o cara com a camisa da seleção do Brasil na festa em que os meninos vão tentar conseguir bebida, tem outra coisa que me chamou a atenção: na sequência dentro da loja de bebidas, quando McLovin conhece os cops, aparece algumas vezes, na loja, algo como um panfleto ou cartaz escrito "15 minutos de fama", assim em português mesmo. Uma auto-referência de algum brasileiro envolvido na produção, junto com a gracinha da camisa da seleção? Alguém sabe alguma coisa sobre isso?

o plano do Fogell (a carteira de motorista falsa com o nome McLovin) foi inspirado no episódio dos Simpsons "Bart pega a estrada" (onde Bart faz uma carteira de motorista falsa e bota que tem 25 anos) e no filme Sem Licença para Dirigir (onde o protagonista inventa uma carteira de motorista falsa depois de rodar no teste teórico de direção)
