Members Jon
Members texer
Outra coisa, saiu essa matéria no Yahoo: "Margot at the Wedding" was Paramount Vantage's best per-screen debut after current drama "Into the Wild" and its 2006 documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" as well as the top opener for New York filmmaker Noah Baumbach. "Margot" earned $81,035 from New York's Angelika Film Center and Lincoln Plaza Cinemas and a per-screen average of $40,518 with the Angelika claiming slightly larger crowds. With high profile leads Nicole Kidman, Jack Black and Baumbach's spouse Jennifer Jason Leigh, "Margot," about a stressful reunion between two sisters at their sprawling Long Island family home, flashed strong potential for year-end awards and the accompanying boost in box office. "Noah Baumbach is a great filmmaker and the critics respond well to him," said Rob Schulze, Executive VP, Distribution, Paramount Vantage. "We'll be at 35 locations Wednesday and in the top twelve markets. We're anticipating that we'll see the same kind of response relative to those markets." Members texer
Esses são alguns trechos do artigo que saiu no Sydney Mornig Herald: Andrew Hornery November 24, 2007 In the US, meanwhile, her latest flick Margot At The Wedding hit the screens and, in London, Kidman was due to attend the premiere of The Golden Compass. She'll be in Sydney again next week to continue studio filming on Baz Luhrmann's Australia. It makes you wonder what she meant when she told The Washington Post in an interview promoting Margot that acting is "a very, very small part of my life now". How busy would she be if it was a big part of it? The good news for Kidman is that her brittle, chilly turn in Margot has her back in favour with the critics. "It takes a special sort of actress to play this character without audiences burning down the theatre. Kidman performs a kind of magic act," raved The Boston Globe. Its reviewer called Kidman the pioneer "of a unique kind of career - the movie star as audaciously serious actor". The New York Times reviewer A.O. Scott was equally impressed, saying of Kidman that "the more complicated she is allowed to be, the better she is, and a whole school of psychoanalysis could be founded on a case study of Margot" - and it's all just nicely in time for Oscar buzz.
