Members Cremildo
Super 8 Blu-ray Posted September 15, 2011 01:52 PM by Matthew Smith Paramount Home Entertainment has finally detailed the release of their summer sci-fi thriller Super 8. The J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg production will hit Blu-ray in a Blu-ray/DVD/digital copy combo pack this Thanksgiving. Written and directed by Abrams, Super 8 acts as a homage to science fiction films of the 70's and 80's. It centers on a group of pre-teen kids who witness a government train derail while they are shooting a scene for their Super 8 movie. The train's secret cargo is then let loose in their small Ohio town. The film features a leading performance from newcomer Joel Courtney and supporting roles from Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler and Noah Emmerich. Super 8 hit theaters back in June to mostly positive reviews and a solid box office run. The Blu-ray release will sport Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio and over two hours of bonus materials spread across nine featurettes and deleted scenes. Check out the complete listing below. Members Dook
