which stars Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell, and Chris Elliott. This

Harold Ramis directed film will be available to own from the 29th

January. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic

widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track.

Extras will include an audio commentary with Director Harold Ramis, a

Weight of Time Documentary, The Study of Groundhogs:  A Real Life Look

at Marmots featurette, A Different Day: An Interview with Harold Ramis,

Warner has announced a two-disc special edition of Bonnie and Clyde which stars Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. The set will be available to own from the 25th March, and should retail at around $20.97. As well as a remastered presentation from the original elements, this new release will include a History Channel Documentary – Love and Death: The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, a 3-part Making of Bonnie and Clyde (Bonnie and Clyde’s Gang, The Reality and Myth of Bonnie and Clyde, and Releasing Bonnie and Clyde), Warren Beatty Wardrobe Tests, deleted scenes (The Road to Mineloa, and Outlaws), and trailers.

An Ultimate Collector’s Edition will also be available for $39.92. This will include all the above features, along with a 36-page hardcover book of rare, behind-the-scenes photos, a 24-page reproduction of the original 1967 press book and a special mail-in poster offer. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Midnight Express (30th Anniversary Edition)

on 5th February 2008 priced at $19.94 SRP. Based on a true story and

winner of two Academy Awards, Midnight Express follows the unsure fate

of Billy Hayes (Brad Davis), a young American caught at the Turkish

border trying to smuggle hashish. With his future in the hands of a

foreign government, Hayes faces uncertainty and fear – papers from the

Embassy mean little and the Turkish government is set to use him as an

example to deter other drug dealers. With his options quickly

dwindling, Hayes realizes the Midnight Express (inmate slang for “an

escape” under cover of night) may be his last hope.

 

Directed by Alan Parker and written by Oliver Stone, Midnight Express also stars Bo Hopkins, Randy Quaid and John Hurt.

Filmes como Expresso da Meia-Noite, gosto, mas não investiria porque a hora legal de comprar filmes assim, pelo menos pra mim, já passou...

Valeria mesmo só pelos extras já que os filmes em questão estão com imagem e som ótimos na versão já existente. E mesmo nos extras, o que mais chama a atenção são justamente os dois primeiros (e melhores) filmes. O resto vem com featurettes só pra dizer que veio com alguma coisa... Nada de realmente relevante.

 

A única vantagem pra nós é que se chegar aqui, os extras provavelmente estarão legendados o que não ocorreu com a coleção anterior.

 

Entretanto, esse anúncio de um novo box apimenta o boato de que o novo filme do Clint seja mesmo um novo Dirty Harry... Será??

Acho que nesse caso o box não está necessariamente relacionado ao novo filme, visto que o departamento de catálogo da Warner passa anos trabalhando num box como esses até o lançamento - que supostamente está acontecendo como parte da comemoração dos 80 anos do estúdio. A não ser que eles já tivessem o sexto filme em mente há um bom tempo, e que eu tbm não acredito. O que não quer dizer que o filme não vá sair.

E quanto ao box, além dos featurettes há tbm comentários em audio em todos os filmes - que não seriam legendados por aqui de qualquer forma - e um documentário sobre o Eastwood. Achei uma quantidade consideravelmente boa.
